Google Bad Review 1: During the grief of losing my only brother. a close family friend recommended personal touch. While the proceedings were being managed under Miss Pauline. At times I felt a lack of compassion in the way she worked. Putting that aside I did not appreciate the unprofessional and ignorant attitude that she displayed during the printing of my brothers memory book. Mistakes were made and issues were highlighted yet Pauline refused to address them and correct them after payment. The end result was unsatisfactory and options limited us as the relatives from making it a treasured family possession. I don't look to put down personal touch as a business I simply ask that they increase their efforts for future clients, Bless.

This part of the review is to respond to Pauline M, firstly I hope your safe and healthy. I don't understand why it took 3 years for you to respond to my review, though I remember you sending me a direct text message 3 years ago trying to make me feel ashamed of my honest opinion and how it lost you a customer. Now you have decided to respond to my online review in a more diplomatic way 3 years later.
I assume you're referring to only one of the issues me and my family had with my brother's memory book, which was how the logo of personal touch was printed heavily around the book. This gave the impression that you meant to use my brother's memory book as a piece of advertisement. I would not have mind if the logo was simply imprinted on the lower back of the book stating who had made it. Furthermore you clearly are still overlooking the fact that you made the mistake of printing the address of the church on every page of the book which you yourself agreed not to do when we disgust the edits to be made when you emailed me the draft copy of the book (I still have the emails to prove it).
I had hoped that you had learnt from our past business engagement to be more professional and compassionate towards the needs of your grieving customers, sadly it seems you have not learnt from your past mistakes. I strongly suggest at this point that you stop trying to ignore the fact that you make mistakes and choose not to correct them, instead you try to blame the customers for your short comings. If personal touch is to maintain a healthy relationship with the local community and stay in business, you need to change your ways and find some humility.

Google Bad Review (2): Luckily Pauline's incompetence, unprofessionalism and dishonesty was spotted early enough to allow us to change funeral directors. From putting the wrong name in the email subject line ( a gross breach for the family of the deceased person whose name we were privy to) to lying that it was a ‘computer glinch'. Giving us conflicting dates for the funeral and failing to clarify with further lies told to explain away her incompetence. Pauline and the service she offers to grieving families is shambolic. A disgrace to the industry.
