Google Bad Review: Here is a short list of the problems I encountered:
– PC consultant forgot about appointment twice and was 2 hours late to the 3rd.
– No fix no fee is rubbish. I had to pay 150 pounds even though my computer was never fixed.
– Consultant was incompetent. He first told me it was my motherboard which was incorrect, then my power supply which was incorrect, then my RAM which was incorrect. All were independently validated by my supplier, Overclockers.
– Consultant was rude. He told me he had bigger problems to worry about than some gaming computer not working.
– Consultant and London IT Support were impossible to get hold of and never kept me informed. Don't believe the 24 hour customer service; I called, emailed and tried there website many many times and NEVER heard back.
– Took me 6 months to get my computer back and it was still not fixed.
Avoid like the plague, they are the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Here is a longer description for anyone interested in the minutiae:
I booked an appointment in December. On the day the consultant was supposed to come to fix my computer, I received a phone call to tell me he had forgotten. We rescheduled for the end of December. Again, a similar experience occurred – he forgot.
In early January he was supposed to come to my house at 6:30pm – he was two hours late. After an evening of testing, he informed me the problem was a dead motherboard, so I sent it back to Overclockers. They rapidly tested and informed me that it was fully functional. He also made me pay a £150 consultation fee.
I informed the consultant that the motherboard was functional and 1 MONTH later he got back in touch to tell me I needed to purchase a new power supply, which I did. Another month later, despite my attempts to get in touch, he informed me the power supply was dead. He then got back in touch to tell me it wasn't and he just hadn't installed it properly.
FINALLY, he told me that the problem was the RAM. This surprised me, as I had made sure using online sites it was and had friends check my configuration. He then tried to force new parts on me, without telling me their cost or specs.
I'd had enough, so I asked him for my computer back. He told me that I'd wasted his time, despite the fact my computer had been with him for 6 months and was still not fixed! He then told me he had bigger problems to worry about than my computer and no time to fix it. Why on EARTH did he agree to the job in the first place?
He finally agreed to drop them back to my house, until on the day cancelled again. I arranged to pick up the parts from his office, but when I arrived he had not packaged them up.
I like to keep these reviews informative, but by now you can sense my anger and distaste for this company and the consultant they sent to fix my computer. I still haven't got my money back and suspect I never will and just want it on the record that I NEVER will use this company again. Ever…
Also, the consultant's name was Richard Jarrett. I would not recommend his services.
