Google Bad Review: Poorly trained and rude receptionist. Previously I have enjoyed good service from this practice but I haven't been for a while and clearly that was a problem. I called Friday with tooth pain and received a call Tuesday after a bank holiday. After thanking the receptionist for a call back I explained I had tooth pain and requested an appointment. The reply came ” we are very busy”. Having checked my date of birth to confirm who I was, I was then told my dentist had left, no concern for my toothpain. I was then advised by the receptionist that because I hadn't visited for nearly 3 years I would be struck off the patient list in due course and was then told that the earliest appointment would be in 15 days time. Clearly no concern for my pain and no enquiry as to my symptoms at this stage. I suggested that I might be prioritised in the circumstances to which the receptionist replied ” you need to have bleeding or swelling for an emergency appointment”. (she never at any point asked about my symptoms) I asked her to take me of the patient list and advised I would find another dentist. These people provide NHS treatment and are therefore ambassadors for the NHS. This kindof treatment of patients undermines the efforts of other hardworking members of the NHS. I daresay had I asked for a private appointment the response would have been very different. Horrible, ignorant people!
