Google Bad Review 1: This is what the website for Mulberry House states:
“We are able to look after our own stable inpatients overnight however if your pet becomes seriously unwell outside of our opening hours, our out-of-hours emergency care is provided by MiNightVet, Wokingham. Their team of dedicated emergency vets and nurses care for patients throughout the night and over weekends so that our team can be refreshed and ready for gold-standard care and service during regular hours. We can arrange transport back to Mulberry House Vets for patients requiring ongoing treatment the next day.”
The Mulberry House website also states that:
“If a patient is critically ill and requires constant monitoring and frequent medication overnight they will be transferred to the dedicated out of hours team at MiNightVet Wokingham. We can arrange transport to and from this Emergency Hospital with our trusted pet transport company.”
What all of this means is that they are willing and able to have your pet stay overnight in their facility if it is stable and does not require ongoing observation and treatment. If not, your pet will have to go elsewhere as they certainly will not be putting in the overtime to treat your pet. No doubt the “transport” will be a billable extra. Can you imagine the stress your critically ill pet will experience in this situation – where you take your pet to Mulberry House Vets and are then told they have to be transported somewhere else (we can!)?
With regard to the MiNightVet Wokingham/Nine Mile Ride Vet they use for critical care and after hours treatment, please be aware that several of the Mulberry House professional staff moonlight after hours (when they feel like it and need some extra cash) at MiNightVet and elsewhere, which means that your ‘regular vet’ will either not be available when your pet needs to be seen by a vet and you want to take them to Mulberry House Vets (hopefully it’s not a life threatening
emergency!) because they’ve taken the day off after a long night shift, or will likely be anything but “refreshed and ready” having worked elsewhere through the night.
You owe it to your pet to establish a relationship with a vet practice that will help your pet in all situations – this practice will not – and where your regular vet will be ready and available to treat your animal, not sleeping late because they worked elsewhere to line their own pockets (dedication to the profession and “exceptional quality care” do not apply here).
Your pet does not care whether the vet who treats has a friendly grin on their face and gives them treats and belly rubs. It trusts you as owner to take it somewhere where it will receive expert and humane professional treatment. This is a ‘cardboard cutout Mickey Mouse’ vet practice (sorry Mickey Mouse)!
Please, please choose a different vet practice for your pet! Do not make the same mistake we did – we wish we could take our beloved pet elsewhere, but we can’t. We could say a lot more (and we shall in a different forum) but hopefully the above might help someone to make the right decision before it is too late. Choose a vet that is willing and able to spend the money on a proper car park and not a gravel pit for its clients!
Needless to say the 1 star couldn’t be avoided to post this review.

Google Bad Review (2): After 4 visits I will never return to this practice again and do not recommend it. When I arrived for my 4th visit for the same condition in my pet it transpired they’ve made an error with my booking. I needed a repeat prescription to cover the period until the next appointment and they insisted I have to pay their price, which was over 300% the online price. As alternative I was offered to pay 15£ for prescription despite this was their error and I already purchased the medication from them last time plus I’ve been many times with the same condition each time paying well over the consultation price. I had a chance to discuss this with the vet who bluntly informed me they must make money through medication they sell and basically did not take any responsibility for the error they made or the unique circumstances of my case. What was worst that neither the vet or the receptionist told me that in fact I do NOT need prescription, I purchased the drops online for £6 vs. their price of £20. In my experience – huge friendly front BUT behind are major gaps in true customer centricity and ripping off customers. I’m never stepping there again!
