Google Bad Review 1: I am writing this review not a customer but as a park user of Blythe Hill Fields SE23. Moon Lane Books are a sponsor of the Blythe Hill Fields ‘Festival' on 5th September 2021.
Blythe Hill Fields is a public park, owned by Lewisham Council.
The ‘Festival' is organised by park volunteer group called the ‘Friends of Blythe Hill Fields' formed in 2003 and with a dismal record of implementing park improvements. The annual ‘Festival' is supposed to be its prime park improvement fundraiser. With regret, the Friends have failed year on year to balance its focus to balance time spent on organising its 5 hour per year ‘Festival' with a proportionate focus on park improvements that will engage with those who also use the Fields for the other 364 days and 19 hours of each year.
2021 is proving to be no exception.
The Friends group has absolutely no information on its official website, or elsewhere, on any timescaled, fundraising park improvement objective relating to your Festival sponsorship.
I am more than content to amend/withdraw my review if you can outline to me any specific park improvement that your business sponsorship in my local publicly owned park is designed to improve.
From my point of view, your business is sponsoring an event being held in a public park for your private business concerns only.
