Google Bad Review 1: UPDATE: had a call from medivets yesterday 2months after Woodys last visit to say we owe £26.40, to say I am annoyed is an understatement. What’s even more disgusting is that we asked for an x-ray of the toe and the x-ray was for a completely different leg and paw, we went for a 2nd opinion for Woody’s toe as he seemed absolutely fine after 2weeks (medivets wanted us to come back every 2weeks and pay £90 for a bandage) and we were told it was not even a break. Just under £800 spent in vet fees unnecessarily.
Not had a good experience with this vets, i would avoid. Took my dog here as he had an accident, when i went to pick him up i had to pay the balance before i could see him. Unsure of what other Medivets are like, however Halfway Street are very quick to take your money, i gave them the claims form for the insurance the same day i paid the balance and the claims form has still not been sent (its been nearly a month). i took him back after one week (claim form still had not been sent) as the he had a sore on his leg from the bandage, i have been given another bill (disbelief from other professionals when asking there thoughts on this, also having to pay towards a bigger cone which i did not ask for) which is significantly smaller than the first, however i have been told they will not send the first claims form until i pay for the other bill. Absolutely disgusting, i would recommend to go to Vets that care about your animal as much as the money.

Google Bad Review (2): Mixed review as one vet here is good, one not. We started off with our new puppy visiting here for treatment and vaccinations, but soon switched to The Animal Clinic up on Shooters Hill.
The reason for our bad experience was around the 10 week vaccinations. The puppy had diarrhea and we were advised by the female vet to wait another week for it to clear up before giving the second set of vaccinations. So, we returned after a week (after the good vet, James, giving a worming tablet which stopped the problem) when the puppy was then 11 weeks old. She told us that we left it too long since 8 week vaccinations, and would have to restart and do both sets of vaccinations again. A bit annoying as we had only followed her advice to wait a week.
So she gave him the vaccination and started a new vaccination record, recording that as the first vaccination. She then told us to come back in 4 weeks!!! to do the second vaccination.
She told us the 3 week gap between 8 and 11 weeks was too long, but to wait 4 weeks between 11 and 15 weeks was fine?!?!
It was the point at which she told me he couldn't go out and socialise until 15 weeks old that I had enough. The most important stage for a puppy is up to 14 weeks, after which new experiences are less likely to be accepted, and the puppy is more likely to be fearful rather than enquisitive.
I took advice from two unrelated vets, and they both said there was nothing wrong and no reason to give a third set of vaccinations.
Furthermore, I had already paid for the third vaccination and appointment as I wanted to get it all over ASAP as I was worried about delaying socialisation any longer – but when I didn't turn up for it, having received accurate advice elsewhere, not so much as a reminder received from Medivet saying I had an appointment, and no question if I wanted to reschedule etc.
We have since been with Margitt at The Animal Clinic and extremely happy there. If you must use this Medivet, stick with James.
