Google Bad Review 1: I was shocked to find out entire 9 months following a blood test for my cat that I hadn't been informed of the abnormal thyroid levels the tests showed at the time. This negligence on their part meant I missed an opportunity to treat her in time and kept second guessing why she wasn't putting on weight.
The lack of communication additionally meant I made a fatal mistake of asking the practice to give her a lion's cut, thinking the mats in her fur were making her miserable because I didn't know she was ill. They performed this without sedation, apparently not stopping the grooming in spite of her extreme stress. The vet showed me how my cat scratched them during the process – suggesting this was performed with a complete lack of tact and empathy. Even though they reassured me in advance they would check her health and not proceed if they suspect anything.
The vet said I should consider having my cat put to sleep when I came to pick her up because she was unwell. So this was AFTER a highly stressful grooming. It begs the question, if they could see she was so unwell, why was this procedure carried out anyway??? Why didn't they stop??? Sadly my cat was so traumatised, she was shaking with fear and refusing to eat after the traumatic grooming experience and passed away 5 days later at the emergency clinic.
I used to go to another local vet, Kitten to Cat, when I lived in Kew but switched vets when moving to Barnes. There was such a contrast in the treatment. They would immediately stop the grooming if my cat protested and prioritised her wellbeing. They performed a thorough health check before the groom to ensure she could handle it. I foolishly expected the same standard of care here.
As other reviewers have said, they are understaffed, always too busy, everything seems rushed and it's never the same vet you see. When I registered with them, they were independent but later got taken over by Medivet. Wish I had done more research before putting my trust in them.

Google Bad Review (2): This is no longer the beautiful veterinary practice run by caring and loving vets and nurses that used to be called Vets on White Hart Lane.
I went there for many years and trusted them with the care of my babies and to help me make difficult decisions when needed. Unfortunately, since becoming another Medivet surgery, it has turned into a place where profit takes precedence over everything else, a place with veterinary staff I no longer trust. There is only one nurse, who everyone in the area knows, still working there and I hope, for her sake, that she will find another job, where she is appreciated like all her customers have done for many years.
If you are considering coming here, I would recommend finding another veterinary surgery, I am.
