Google Bad Review 1: I strongly advise people interested in buying these wonderful books to buy them next door (Selfridges or Harrods) as you will pay them the same price BUT you will be able to get a refund if you want while la Maison Assouline will barely give you a credit! It's not worst going to the bar either as the staff really don't care about the clients. Mr Assouline is probably not aware about that and it's unfortunate ‘

Google Bad Review (2): My wife and I have come here many times over the years and always found it quite nice. We recently visited for the first time with our 1-yr old and were refused seating despite an available table. Another guest offered us his table as he was leaving but the waiter told us we weren’t allowed to sit there either. They told us the whole place was reserved for the next 30 minutes (of course the couple behind us were seated no problem and there was nothing mentioned anywhere about anything being reserved ). Fair play- when I complained vociferously to the manager of this discrimination against families he offered to seat us which we appreciated but declined. This place obviously discriminates against families and didn’t want our custom so we took it somewhere else.
