If I could put zero star rating I would
Don Bremner, the vet is cold hearted and has no compassion or respect for our recently passed miniature macaw. We took her for an autopsy, as we needed to make sure our other pets would not catch any disease, if our macaw had a disease. We were told it would be £45 for the procedure and to stitch her back up. We signed a document stating this. Don performed the autopsy but gave her back to us open. Her insides were out he then Told us after that it will be an extra £120 to stitch her back up. He handed her back saying, “I wouldn’t open it, its left undone.” You wouldn’t do that to a dog or a cat what difference is it with a parrot? The way he left her is outrageously disturbing. No care or consideration for your pet or the grief you’re going through. Money orientated, and we will be taking it higher. The cause of death is not plausible, no samples were sent to come to the conclusion he provided.
“Sunflower seeds and calcium deficiency.” Was his findings. Our parrot was fed with in date, fruit mixed parrot seeds from a reputable breeder and a mix of fresh fruit and veg. She had eaten just before she had passed and so I would have thought it would have been obvious she had a stomach full and a crop full. Calcium deficiency, well, you would have to send off samples to a lab to get this result you would not be able to come to this conclusion with the naked eye.
This, is common sense.
