Google Bad Review 1:  Please DON’T consider the centre at Caledonian Road London at all!!!! Firstly when you try and contact the place to book an appointment there is absolutely no response to emails, texts or phone calls. Took me two weeks to get an appointment booked. I clearly mentioned to them the appointment was for my mother. Having turned up to the centre we mentioned we required a female therapist as my mum wasn’t comfortable for a deep tissue massage with a male therapist. We appreciated the fact that they might not have a female therapist available immediately therefore requested to reschedule the appointment. Mina Catrinoiu Who claimed to be the manager of that location point blank refused to reschedule claiming we won’t offer you a female therapist even at the next appointment. It is an option that we don’t offer to customers using groupon vouchers. We explained this was never mentioned on the groupon voucher or on the their official website that they don’t offer a choice of therapist specifically to groupon customers. She blamed groupon for not advertising accurately and just refused to help. She was straight up rude and had no customer service skills. I asked for a refund which she mentioned I would receive a link for which I still haven’t! I asked to speak to her manager or a different colleague which she straight refused. She claimed to be the manager herself and refused to provide any sort of help or service. She refused to give us her name as she clearly knew she was being difficult. This was a birthday present for my mum which she clearly ruined. Please don’t waste your time at this place and choose a business which is actually looking to do business and provide good customer service.

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  Mon “Harmoni”

Google Bad Review (2):  I don't know how else to describe this experience, except creepy.

If you are booking using a voucher, don't provide the codes unless you are definitely able to make it because they will activate them and later insist they are not ‘valid'. Equally, I don't know if there is even the option for a female masseuse as I only saw male masseurs. Which they mentioned on the phone but only after I have bought the non-refundable vouchers! The place is basically a converted shopfront, which is fine except it was very cold. Even in the actual room, which just adds to the overall discomfort. Filled in the necessary forms, there is a small disclaimer stating you may feel pain/bruising for up to 2 weeks after having a ‘deep tissue massage' which is exactly what I had purchased… great, here we go!

I get into the room, I just took my top off and asked him to focus on my upper back. Equally I asked him not to focus too strongly on any one point. He starts feeling around trying to find my ‘tension points', all a bit light but I would rather that than the alternative. Eventually, he asks me to turn over as he thinks the tension is coming from the front, so I adjusted myself accordingly. He starts pressing into my sternum and ribs, as I jerk a bit and wriggle around on the table he says “oh lots of tension here” … tension where exactly, where in my bones would there be tension, it is simply uncomfortable and ticklish?! He then moves down to my stomach and feels this is somehow the source, again nope just ticklish and I rather you not prod my organs, so I push his hands away and he returns to the top of my body and works on the shoulder and neck. Which then graduates to my head and face, also fine, we are in the last 5 minutes now and even though I am pretty sure it is just his cold clammy sweat being rubbed on me, I know the end is near so I endure. Without warning, he puts his fingers inside my ears, which was just strange to say the least but my partner is up next so I warn her as she absolutely cannot stand her ears being touched by strangers, if at all.

Meanwhile, she can hear my nervous laughter and starts to well up in fear of what to expect. As she looks around the reception room for any sign of certifications she notices this dusty stack of papers in the ‘comic sans' font, which basically looks made up or a template printed from the internet somewhere. Which only subsequent to this experience did I find that in the UK it happens to be a largely unregulated field with no specific qualifications required!

Now, her turn, except this time he amps up the creep factor. As she is laying there in her underwear scarcely covered with a little towel, he enters saying “ooohh you have a beautiful body”. Trying desperately to dissociate from that remark, she explains she has a bad shoulder so to avoid that side, he seems to ignore that and only work that side. Pulls at her shoulder, cracks her fingers (manipulations without permission). Turns her over, as she tries to cover her top and bottom half with this tiny towel he says “oh you don't need to worry about that” but as she continues to try he finally offers her a 2nd towel. Only then to completely lift it at some stage to work the ‘tension' out of her stomach and assist her breathing by pressing into her mons pubis?! She reacts very much in the same way, but instead of stopping he asks “oh are you ticklish” and actually tickles her belly … I checked the services and tickles sure as hell weren't listed! He then sits behind her to work the upper body, he seems to be sweeping his hands to meet in the middle of her chest and lifting the towel; deciding then to also massage just either side of her breasts.

One may argue that the deep tissue massage simply is not their speciality and the whole ear fingering may be linked to reflexology etc but then don't offer a service you can't execute. Certainly don't inappropriately speak or touch your clients body even if it is ‘beautiful'. I can honestly say I could expect a better massage ambling down a dark alley.

Google Good Review:  Had 60 min deep tissue with Vasiil who located all the tension in my back, moved and smoothed it all out and somehow found a way to get them out. Really lovely and professional place. Will be back
