Google Bad Review 1: Literally the worst contractors we have ever worked with.
– Told us our flooding was ground water that needed a drainage solution when actually it was a leaking water main (eventually fixed very simply by a plumber, in about 90 minutes).
– Engineers frequently phoning their friends and having a good old laugh about all sorts whilst at our property.
– Burst our neighbour's water main while he was digging a hole in our property, which they did fix. But they fixed it with a bulky gadget which has caused the pipe to bend and stick up above floor level, so god knows how we're supposed to repair the floor now.
– Loudly phoned his friend from inside our house to have a good laugh about how funny it was that he'd burst a water main!
– Didn't wear a mask when he was in our house, and was mouthing off about how covid wasn't a big deal and people were taking it too seriously. – Excavated this huge hole in our utility room floor, then didn't come back to fill it in because he went off sick WITH COVID, and the company didn't tell us.
– Turns out he had given us covid when he was in our house with no mask, and thanks to him not telling us we spread it to other family members because we didn't know we needed to isolate.
– When I called the boss to find out if our engineer had had covid, he maintained that it wasn't their responsibility to tell us. For god's sake. Could you be any more inconsiderate during a worldwide pandemic?
– The engineer left all his tools in our house, but we were assured by his boss that that was because he'd be coming to us as soon as he was back at work, to fill in the hole.
– Got a call from him the other day. Literally the first thing he said was “When can I come and get my tools?”. No introduction, no “sorry I couldn't finish the job”, no “Sorry I GAVE YOU COVID and didn't tell you I had it”. Didn't seem to care that the hole was still there. Said he'd been told it was sorted (it is not sorted).
Spent Christmas 2020 with a huge freezing hole in the floor, and my whole family having covid. Brilliant.
We didn't get to choose this company as the work was arranged through our landlord's insurance, but I would certainly never have work done by them out of choice.
