Google Bad Review 1: Don’t believe the 5* reviews.

Not sure they even use their own kitchens as there was a total lack of understanding of functionality, design or even common sense.

They installed the cabinets in the wrong place even though they had the drawing plan from Howdens. They were placed low down on the walls so that there would barely be any space to actually use the worktop, which clearly didn’t cross their minds.

They left us without a kitchen sink for a week and a half, which meant we did our washing up in the bath & small bathroom sink, which has clogged up the waste pipe. I would have imagined kitchen fitters would structure their work in such a way as to minimise the amount of time left without cooking or washing up facilities, but they stripped the kitchen and left it like that for a good 10 days.

They didn’t use dust sheets, and even though they were repeatedly asked to do their wood cutting in the garden they didn’t, so there was dust all over the entire kitchen/living room space – on all the shelves, books, sofa, tables, chairs, even on the cat. The dust extended to the bedroom and even on the duvet. They were repeatedly asked to close the front door if they weren’t using it, and to smoke in the back garden, so as not to let the cat out onto the busy road. However, they kept on leaving the front door open for periods of time and smoking outside.

They used our own household dustpan, brush & sponges rather than using their own supplies. They left their own food wrappers and empty plastic bottles around. They painted the cabinets the wrong colour even though the colour had been pointed out to them, and if they were unsure they should have called. They didn’t bother to unbox the new units to check if everything was there, so when it finally came to install the sink they realised a part was missing.

The wood worktop hasn’t been cut straight, and they didn’t cover the new ceramic sink when they oiled the worktop so now there are many oil streaks in the sink which we can’t get off. The light installation is shoddy, the plug sockets aren’t in alignment with the tiles. They left a gap in between the floorboards and the carcass, and I had to ask specifically for them to get some beading, as if they were going to just leave it like that. The worktop still needs several coats of oil, and they left the lighting cables loose and bare on top of the cabinets.

They kept on promising it would take two weeks when clearly it wouldn’t. It took 3 weeks in the end, and we had to get in professional cleaners afterwards, which they did pay for to be fair, but the flat should never have gotten into that condition.

My partner and I are really disappointed by the whole experience. We did eventually get the kitchen we wanted but the workmanship was poor and we didn’t feel confident that they knew what they were doing. Every step of the way there was some complication or excuse or error. Gurpreet and the guys were nice people, and communicative and apologetic, but I wouldn’t recommend using this company at all. I found them because of their good reviews on trustatrader and on here but I’m now wondering if all these good reviews are from friends & family. It just goes to show you can never really trust online reviews, which is why I wanted to write my experience in detail to give a full, honest account.
