Google Bad Review (2): Having tried to buy 2 vehicles off them I wouldn't go back. They spend too much time cleaning the cars and not enough time getting them checked out mechanically. I always get a second hand vehicle checked out by an inspection service (AA, RAC Etc all do them), LDSM spent more time trying to tell me what a waste of money that was than telling me about the vehicle. All the vehicles had been regularly serviced so were in good shape and I should just spend the money on their warranty instead. I got it inspected anyway and along with a few small issues (as you'd expect with an older vehicle) was told their was a problem with the clutch and it would probably need replacing. In fairness to LDSM they offered to go halves on a clutch replacement but wanted to use their mechanic whereas I preferred money off in order for me to get it done by my garage so I passed. I came back a few months later to look at a second vehicle and again seemed ok so had it inspected. This was worse, a lot of issues, one door didn't open from outside, air leak in turbo, auxillary belt needed replacing but the worst thing was the steering rack had an excessive amount of movement (I'm not a mechanic, just quoting from the report) which the inspector felt meant the vehicle was unsafe to drive so he didn't even do a test drive. I asked him if this was an MOT failure and he said yes yet the vehicle had an MOT which was only a few weeks old, so their MOT inspector had missed it which makes me wonder. If you are tempted by them get the vehicle checked out by someone who knows about cars, don't just take their word for it, £150 is money well spent if it saves you from having to spend £100s on a failing car.
