Google Bad Review: Took my car for the ‘rear breaking pads' to be changed as my car screen was showing that needs to be changed. From experience (My dad) he also confirmed that its simply the pads.
Dropped the car when it was due and was told I will received a call back when its ready. Got a call back from Scott to inform me that front and rear braking pads must change and on top of that my disk is also ‘damaged' which needs to be changed. They quoted me £700!
Was asked to go in to see it so they can explain, when I arrived my car was up with the front right wheel off and they started showing me that the disk is apparently damaged and both front and rear must be changed, its very dangerous and all the rest..
I simply refused the job and asked for them to put the wheel back on and I will go to another mechanic.
I drove from the garage to Draycott Avenue which is 30 seconds drive and I started to get alerts that I have flat tyre.. Of course it had to be the front right one! What a coincident, I understand that could have happened at ANY time but few seconds after leaving the garage? and the wheel that they took off?
Visited another mechanic only up the road in Fulham and the person checked all over the car and he said your disks are almost brand new, your front breaking pads ARE brand new and its simply a rear break pads that needs to be changed. £120 later and job done
Additional cost of £40 for the front tyre to be repaired, thanks to Kwik Fit!
I would recommend staying away from them as they clearly trying to force you to pay for something that doesn't need doing.
