Google Bad Review 1: No. Avoid if you think a quote by phone is enough. It's possible you too may be lulled into what you think is a better deal on the phone.
The Moving House Company actually sent somebody over to assess and quote us. Yet we trusted the quote we had received from Kiwi Movers. It seemed believable and better value. On reflection, they played the oldest trick in the book. The actual bill was considerably more, and not only that; we got charged a lot more for a lot less. Sheer luck we could step in as additional heavy-lifting helpers (15 years their senior). Because if we hadn't, their bill would have risen to an absurd amount more.
I estimate 400+ than what we would have paid the Moving House Company.
For a day's work.
Bear in mind there was parking right outside the property, as well as a lift to the door of the property we were moving in to. Cldn't have been much simpler.
We are still removing the many boxes a week later and I recall the other quote included boxes being collected and taken away.
So if you are reading this, be on your guard. The Kiwi heavy lifters were pleasant enough. But as a company, we recommend you only trust them with a quote based on a survey. And even then, dont' rush in.

Google Bad Review (2): I would not use Kiwi Movers again. They didn't wrap and protect my pictures and they have come back wih score marks and with chunks out of the gold frames . They also used gaffer tape directly on an antique set of cases and runes them. These were my grans and I am quite upset. The annoying thing is they said that because we weren't there to supervise it's our fault. We asked them to leave light fittings and they left all the table lamps and now want to charge £900 for delivering them. I feel very let down.
