Google Bad Review 1: One of the worst stays I've had with a Kimpton ever. It almost seems that the policy of the staff is to make your stay as uncomfortable as possible.
My hotel room was not ready at the designated checkin time of 3pm. I had to wait another 30 mins in the lobby.
I had asked for a quiet room and bright room as I will be staying 12 nights and working from the hotel. The day after I moved in, a construction crew started putting scaffolding up on the building in front of my room. The noise of construction and the scaffolding blocking any light, is the antithesis of my request. Certainly, the hotel must have known about this before giving me my room. Is it a sick joke??
The next morning the fire alarm goes off and startles me half to death. I call the front desk and ask about the alarm and they said that it is normal. They informed me that there are signs indicating the weekly fire alarm test and didn't apologize at all. I have a vision disability so I didn't see the signs. Why not just inform me about a fire alarm test at checkin?
Other issues
– Loud sounds from toilets flushing upstairs. You can hear it in the room
-I had requested an adapter, the front desk said that it was already in my room. No such adapter was there, but why not just give me an extra one when I ask?
-Bathrobes were torn. They were holes in the garments
Do yourself a favor, never stay here.
