There are garages all over London and it is not easy to find an honest and reputable garage but as I've come across a real bad experience, I thought it would be best to share the experience so that others don't go through the same headache.
Booked the car in with a headlight problem, after the garage keeping the vehicle for 5 days and explaining that I was a big job and very complicated to resolved, I allowed it and went along with their response. They finally contact me to collect the car and they state on the phone that everything is now resolved and “sorted”. I drove away and as soon I got to the bottom of the road, the lights started to flicker and when I got out of the car to inspect, the headlight unit was loose, after a further inspection by the road side I could see that they broke the tray of the headlight unit and it was not held or supported by anything, hence why the connection was flickering.
Contacted them the following day to advise of the situation and they suggested I go and purchase a new headlight unit and headlight under tray as the car was already like this, i.e. Implying the unit was already broken and they just resolved a wiring issue, everything else was apparently fine. It most definitely was not fine!
I explained that the tray was not broken and the headlight unit was also not damaged, this eventually turned into an argument between us because of the allegation as they kept on denying responsibility. It would be impossible for this piece of plastic to break on its own unless someone without the right experience forced it in and therefore snapped the plastic tray.
When I explained that the unit was in prefect condition and the only thing that needed replacing was the bulb they told me to get on my bike that they had the car in their garage for five days and everything was tested and working fine. Complete dismissal of the problem.
Simply shocked with their behavior and rude manner, I have now walked away and decided to forget this garage and vowed never to return. I have since gone to the main dealer and they have repaired the headlight problem and also confirmed that these had to be broken by the garage.
I'm not in the habit to write reviews about stuff but I feel so angry at their attitude and the fact that they damaged the headlight unit that the only way I can be heard is by writing this review and hope that helps others when making a decision to visit JT Car Repairs.
I wouldn't return to this garage even if they offered me a life time free service. I can only imagine what they really get up to with customer cars.
