‘The first stage of this process is a short telephone screening call, to ensure that you fully understand the role and meet the essential minimum vetting and referencing requirements. This will also give you a chance to ask any questions you may have.
The recruiting manager, Rob Ellis, will contact you shortly to arrange a suitable date and time for an initial discussion.’
To being told this a week later
‘Further to your application for the above role, we understand that you did not contact the recruiting manager as requested to arrange an interview. As a result, we have withdrawn your application for this position.’
I had no contact details to call the manager until my application was withdrawn. Also when I called the recruiting manager, who never picked up my calls till a week later I was informed the position is now closed and I should reapply. Very poor professionalism from him.
