Google Bad Review 1: I am updating my last review with my latest experience. I had given Highgate Vets a 5 star glowing review a week before.
Today I took my cat to see him for a new condition, a watery eye which had healed from his ulcer more than a week ago. Allen was really rough with my cat all through his examination. My cat was already traumatised and very nervous so he tried to keep jumping off the table as he usually does. Allen's treatment of my cat was such a contrast to my first two experiences with him. He did not make any attempt to settle him compassionately, but instead totally manhandled the poor creature. Yes, manhandled him which is not the same as being firm. As my cat tried to jump off the examination table and was in mid-flight he grabbed him by his tail and lifted him back up on the table by his tail which took the weight of his body. I am totally disgusted and disappointed with his treatment of my cat today. I had to leave the room as I nearly broke down in tears watching how my cat was being handled and the stress my cat was in. Even the receptionist had to ask me if I was OK but I couldn't speak being so upset and trying to control my tears. However before I left (as I left, I told him I can't do this on my own as I was having to help him take control of my cat, he called one of his assistants ) the room, after he had lifted my cat back on the table, he began examining his back and spine. I wondered what he was doing but did not question him although I had not requested it. I am not going to say anything more on this matter but let you decide if you want to take your pet to this vets based on my experiences.
