Google Bad Review: I bought mercedes from Harringtons for near enough £7000.00 in November 2014 with only 31000 miles and initially all was good and helpful, i asked if the auto gear box had a service in amoungst the norm and i was told yes as it was due. I did not take out their RAC Warranty as it hasnt got particular good reviews and so i took out my own…
about a month and a half later the gearbox would occassionly jump when trying to pull away and so i contacted harringtons and was told PAT Would get back to me- He didnt.. So rather than possible damage to anything further by driving 70 miles to them i took it to the garage locally and the gearbox had not been serviced! so £250.00 later i was back on the road but about a month later the the dreaded Transmission visit workshop came up. So after ringing harringtons again i was told pat would ring me and he didnt so my warranty company got the call after i had the diagnosis that the gearbox possibly needed replacing! the final diagnositic is that the gearbox valve body was cracked and looked as if it had been for quite some time. I now have to pay £504.16 towards the parts alone while the warranty company pay out the rest . Once again i have tried another 3 times in the last month while the car is being fixed to get hold of pat and on the last occasion the girl at reception was very rude to me…
Now considering the fact i am only looking for a contribution towards my costs and have been neglected time after time by Harringtons i think that this is disgusting behaviour avoiding having to solve any problems the car has obviously been sold with… Don't trust Harringtons is all i can say…
