Google Bad Review 1: PLEASE AVOID FOR ALL COLOURING!!!

My hair was a dark brown colour, and in great condition. I booked and came in for Balayage.

I came to the salon with images of what I wanted, and explained I was looking for some subtle balayage through the ends of my dark hair. My hairdresser glanced at these images but didn’t ask me any questions about how exactly I wanted my hair, which ultimately led to my absolute nightmare of a dye job.

My hair was WHITE at the first attempt (see image below, and bear in mind the salon has yellow lighting, so compare me to the white ceiling!), which is unsurprising seeing as I sat in foils for nearly 50 minuites. And by this I mean my whole head was a bright white blonde. I had asked when the foils were done why they were close to my roots, but was dismissed as if I were an idiot. My hairdresser, realising her mistake, then attempted to dye my roots back to my natural brown colour to cover this up. After 3 toners my hair was only a slightly darker blonde – actually a lovely yellow, and my roots are an unnatural orange brown. This is a million years away from what I wanted and what I paid for.

To top it all off, I was condescendingly told that what I received was Balayage (a simple google can yield that balayage is done with the fingers and not a full head of foils), Balayage begins at the roots always (very incorrect) and that my hair did look exactly like the picture I had shown (all of brunettes).

To say I am devestated at the result is an understatement. I broke down in tears at the salon, to which I was told to ‘shh’ by my hairdresser as she was worried about other clients perhaps leaving, and I spent the entire evening crying upon my return home. Despite being told numerous times by my hairdresser that this hair is “lovely” and nothing is wrong with it, it is in fact hideous and shockingly done even if I has asked or booked in for this.

I then booked in at another salon, and forked out another few hundred to have this fixed – which I have been told will now take months and will never look the same until grown out. My hair has been unnecessarily bleached and stripped and feels like straw. Parts of my hair were bleached for an hour only to be dyed back to brown again! It is now breaking off at the ends due to the overexposure to bleach.

I contacted them, and tried to get through to the owners, multiple times for a refund. I was ignored completely.

There are hundreds of lovely salons in London, please don't take a risk with this one.
