Google Bad Review 1: After receiving a gift voucher for afternoon tea I visited with a friend, late because of not finding a car parking space I rung and spoke to a lovely staff member whos name I didn't get, when I went in to collect a key he said we could use to use hotel parking. Unable to locate this gentleman at first I spoke to another man who I found rude, unhelpful and quite frankly uncooperative. Eventually the helpful gentleman came along and helped sort parking. At the desk for afternoon tea they informed me they had no record of my booking, even though I had a telephone conversation with them two weeks prior. They had a table that we used and the food was pleasant but staff didn't seem very attentive. Overall the experience was dampened by earlier events, and to add insult to injury my friend gets a parking fine. Never again will I visit this hotel. My only regret is not catching the name of the one helpful person who worked there.

Google Bad Review (2): Bad mattress. No minibar option. Grumpy reception lady. Grumpy bar lady. Was declined the option of a cocktail as all cocktails were “reserved “ for a wedding !!!! And was also charged for drinks we didn’t even have /order Upon arrival of our room we were surprised to see another guy walk in with a key card. He’d been booked into the same room number !!!! Shocking ! Had to pay £14 to park in the hotel car park !!!! Buffet breakfast during Covid times was not ideal. Most of the food options in the tiny buffet room were empty !! Sausages undercooked. Scrambled eggs hard and cold. Cheese and meats were uncovered And dry. I Ended up with toast !!! All drinks were help yourself and again I’m not comfortable in sharing coffee /tea/milk jugs with loads of other people.
Back and shoulders are not very stiff from the bed. Which was also very noisy. Literally every time I turned over it was so noisy. Then was woken at 5am from extreme noise and movement from rooms above
Will never stay here again.
