Google Bad Review: I can’t be more disappointed. They’ve literally had me in tears today. My car was sent there by my insurance – Admiral – to repair damage by hit and run.
Initially I did not receive a call back with update as they promised, so had to chase them up.
Few days later I received a notification on my phone that my car’s starter battery is critically low. I call the service and a guy tells me that it’s nothing they have done, it’s just losing charge by itself. It’s a 1 year old car, it cannot lose charge by itself! After conversation with the manager, turns out the battery is disconnected and the guy I spoke to first is completely incompetent and should not be giving any technical advice.
Then comes the time to have my car back and it’s returned to me with damage from the repair. One of the dents has not been fixed fully, at some of the edges I can see the undercoat due to poor spray paint and the edges of the different elements have their gloss scratched probably by tape or whatever they have been wrapping the car with. They take the car back, the driver promises to have it ready and delivered between 8 and 10 am on the next day.
Not only did I not receive my car, but I also got blamed by the extremely rude manager Colin, that the damage has nothing to do with them and they are fixing it just as a good will gesture.
Meanwhile it’s obvious there is no way this type of damage can be done in any other way!
After that my car was delivered in the afternoon with still places where the gloss has been scratched, chip on the edge of the headlight, elements not fitting properly and also my tyre (which was damaged too by the hit and run) has been replaced by a completely different type of tyre, not matching the other 3 on the car (also – half the price of them!!!). When asked, the same arrogant manager’s first response is to deny liability and say nothing has been done to the tyre and I’m making things up. After some arguing and photos, he admits the tyre has been changed. Still, I’m fuming, as the tyre I now have is a old and worn tyre that does not match the rest.
On top of it all they return my car with barely any fuel in it, despite the rule that they have to return it with the same amount as they have collected it.
Overall utterly upset with the whole service provided, I now have my car back and will have to have it evaluated and sent to another place to fix properly.
I was not going to bother leaving review initially, but the manager’s attitude was absolutely unacceptable and just was the cherry on top of the two weeks of constant hell I’ve experienced with Fix Auto Dagenham.
All I wanted was respectable and punctual communication and well repaired car, all I got were lies, damaged vehicle and offensive attitude.
