Google Bad Review 1: After some extensive research and heavily relying on past reviews and various accolades, we had hired Fatima Baqi for our home/Garden wedding in Sep 2020.
For £1500 we received 6 hours of a videographer and photographer.
The initial conversations did fill us with some degree of confidence. Fatima herself was not present on the day and instead sent us some people from her team.
There were over 1000 pictures taken but these were shots just taken without any consideration for what else is in the shot.
There were only 30 people at the wedding and we would have liked for a mixture of shots especially with brothers, sisters etc. However, again this did not happen.
As a videographer and photographer they should have the ability to know where the best lighting is and should be able to ask people to move about to capture the moment in the best possible way.
There are numerous points where the videographer was in the shots or the photographer was in the video shots, this is something that we can overlook once or twice but not multiple times.
I do not feel that photographers need to be told what angle looks better and what positions they should take a shot from as this is what we are paying them for.
After sharing our thoughts with Fatima she became very argumentative and denied taking any responsibility saying that it is not within her contract to dictate shots taken.
Regarding the video there was an issue with the microphone, this was not rectified on the day but afterwards Fatima told us there was nothing she could do as it had already been done, and it was the fault of the speaker for adjusting their garments. Resulting in the key ceremony not being captured correctly at all. Additionally regarding the video there were moments where the audio did not match the video which makes the whole thing look very unauthentic as emotions are not captured in their raw form.
We made it very clear that we would want the larger album and only after receiving the smaller one we were told that Fatima could not get it due to customs restrictions.
Nearly a year after our event we still look back at our photos and film and we see nothing but the stress and anger of receiving this service on what should have been a joyous day filled with nothing but happiness. Ultimately we feel very let down with the service we received and the products we received as such I would not recommend Fatima and her team based on our experience.

Google Bad Review (2): I hired Fatima after seeing her work for two of my friends' weddings and her instagram. She wasn't my first choice, but I had to rearrange my wedding because of UK lockdown, so I needed a photographer asap and her work looked really nice. I paid her £1100 for 4 hours of photography and videography and to be honest it was the worst experience.
I am really saddened and very disappointed with the pictures and the videos I received. It was my WEDDING that I can't go back to and every time I look at the pictures I am filled with rage especially the ceremony photos. I absolutely regret hiring her and I would never recommend her. I was happy to pay for a “professional” photographer, but I literally got 800 of carless amateur images. Anyone off the street could have taken these photographs. She had her STUFF in my entry to the hall, like bags, coats. She could have at least edited it or put her bag the other side of the room. Of course she wouldn't take any responsibility and it was somehow our fault. She also had the videographer in the background in many of my shot and the TRIPOD? Like really? I am not asking for the moon, but just you know, no rubbish and people in my background. She also missed a lot of important photography moments like my arrival to the venue? Like I don't have to spell every moment for her.
She also made me feel really stressed the whole time I was there. With my media training, I didn't show the stress, but I felt so relived when she left.
Overall, terrible experience. I shared a range of the photos she took of me with family and friends to ask their opinions just to check if I am overreacting or being unreasonable and everyone was so surprised at these photos. I am not sure if this was her having a bad day or just not liking me, but I paid good money for memories that I won't get back and they are associated with such bad shots.
I thought that I will feel okay about all of this six months since the wedding, but I am still fuming and I relive this trauma every time I look at the images. 20 images of the over 800 were okay that I can edit myself to have in an album.
I sent her this feedback and the emails were a bit argumentative and I don't think anything she says will make up for my wedding photos being below average and amateur looking. Really heartbroken about this.
