Google Bad Review (2): Pros: The optician himself was excellent, really helpful, explained everything clearly.
Cons: However, he ran extra tests without telling me they would add to my overall checkup cost.
Then, I was distraught to get a prescription costing £145-£305 from Acton Eye Emporium as a young person with BARELY any issues with her vision.
Thankfully, I was encouraged to get a second opinion by friends and family, and after a back and forth with Acton Eye Emporium making 0 effort to give me my prescription (which took 4 days and upon receipt had no notes on it at ALL the first time), I was told by Boots opticians I'd only need to pay for frames with such a weak prescription – in total, I spent £162 (with student discount and employer benefits) vs. the £400+ I would have likely spent here.
ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION, and don't trust the price these guys give you.
