Google Bad Review 1: Lovely team very friendly beautiful practice. would love to leave a good review sadly I feel very ripped off for my money. I payed £240.00 for a consultation with Shivani Patel to be told I can't be helped and sent on my way. It's been a week and ive not even had a follow up report? I sent pics and an X ray of my teeth before hand and the practice manager said it wasn't impossible to help me otherwise I wouldn't have gone threw with the consultation. I wouldn't mind paying for the consultation had they helped me I definitely feel like they have me false hope. disappointed and for that reason I give 1 star.

Google Bad Review (2): I had orthodontic treatment at this practice with Shivani and while I received a substantial improvement, unfortunately I was not fully happy with the result as some of my front teeth were not straightened. When I expressed my concerns, I was repeatedly told the teeth were straight and this was the best result that could be achieved.

I decided to get further opinions from other orthodontists/dentists, who all agreed I had mild crowding and that I should be offered re-treatment. Even other members of the Elleven team disagreed with Shivani, and could clearly see the teeth were not straight.

Excuses were made. I was told it's the size/shape of my teeth that are the issue. That the teeth may have moved – despite the fact I had a bonded retainer and my removable one still fit. Teeth do not become crowded with a fitted retainer. Even their photos taken after the braces were de-bonded show the same issues. I was also told there are limitations to braces.

After a long battle, Shivani eventually agreed to retreat me, but she didn't seem confident in the plan. She became hostile when I emailed questions, and acted as though I should be grateful she hadn't charged me for her time. I didn’t want to risk another treatment with her, especially as she didn’t want to acknowledge there even was a problem – big red flag.
I believe Shivani did not have the skill or patience to straighten my teeth (common in orthodontics) and instead of admitting that or looking at a treatment alternative – she put the blame elsewhere.

I decided to go for re-treatment at another practice, and requested a partial refund from Elleven. They handled my complaint rather unprofessionally, and told me I had to agree never to come back to the practice. Once the Dental Complaints Service got in touch, it didn't take long before they became more reasonable.

Elleven are very secretive with costs too. Shivani recommended I have cosmetic work, and referred me to Sameer. I originally paid £95 for this appointment, but somehow the total amounted to £240. I was given X-rays I hadn't asked for and without the costs being declared prior. Then I was told I would need to see one of their other dentists, at a further cost. He then went into a sales pitch about how I should join their Membership scheme.
The checkup felt rushed and only lasted about 5 minutes, definitely not worth what you pay for.

They seem to care more about money than patient satisfaction, and like to describe themselves as being the “best”, as perfectionists – clearly false.

After my treatment, I was encouraged to leave a review to be in for a chance of winning free teeth whitening. So I suspect a lot of their positive reviews are due to these incentives that are offered.

I had a number of other issues with the treatment too. For instance, one tooth was pushed so far back I developed a crossbite – this resulted in the root of that tooth protruding through my gums, something that was never resolved and really prolonged my treatment.

I recently had re-treatment elsewhere with Invisalign and not only are my teeth now straight, but my bite and even the root issue has considerably improved. The new dentist also commented that the fitted retainer was placed poorly and had damaged my gums.

Please consider a practice that genuinely cares and strives to make their patients happy. Throughout this experience I’ve been made to feel like a difficult patient when my concerns have been completely justified. This could have been resolved much earlier.

Do not trust Elleven Dental, and do not trust their positive reviews either.

Edit: Teeth being left crowded is far from a “super result”. I wasn't fully happy when the braces came off and I made that clear. I accepted the result at the time because you made me feel I had no other choice. It’s not about perfection, but at the very least you expect your teeth to be straight after orthodontic treatment and I never got that at any stage with you. You continue to deny the truth and refuse to take responsibility.   Yes hopefully karma will deal with dishonest “doctors”.
