Absolutely shocking service. Paid £33 for a 3 weekday rental for a friend's wedding. Paid it online and was happy with the price as it was within our budget.

Arrive to see there are two more customers ahead of us. Only one guy at the desk and it takes him half an hour per customer so we've already waited an hour. Selected 10am as we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us and wanted to set off early.

I witness the guy behind the counter desperately try 3 times to get the customer before us to upgrade to a bigger vehicle which he clearly stated the first time he doesn't need
It was cringe worthy to watch and already sent alarm bells ringing as they were desperate to get more money out of the customer.

Then there was the most outrageous petrol policy i've ever seen, where they offer a full-to-full petrol policy but force customers to pay the price of a full tank when you pick up the car, rather than it be included, like most places. They also are petty enough to demand proof we've filled up upon return from a station no more than 5 miles away, and state they'll empty the tank and refill it if themselves if that's not the case.

But the worst part of all was the insane non-refundable excess charge for simply paying by direct debit. A whopping £90-102! So they're happy to let customers paying by credit card to go without paying any excess, just leaving card details in case of damage, but force debit card users to pay the full excess package. Everywhere i've gone before has given the choice of 0 excess or paying £20 to have more coverage or reduce the excess. Everyone i've spoken to since this experience has been gobsmacked by the cheek of it. It was upsetting to feel so conned and backed into a corner to pay money that was never mentioned when booking online.

I'm so glad we decided to cancel and go elsewhere because all of the above caused me to not trust this company at all. Dodgy policies, desperation for every last penny they can get and a blank ‘thats the way it is' explanation when asking for insight. I will be leaving a review very similar to this one wherever i can to stop people from using this company!
