Google Bad Review 1: Was asked to chase up my own witness as they were unable to google to find the telephone number for his work so I did. Constantly chasing. Got better as case progressed although it took nearly 4 years. Had asked for copies of everything in file, very important bits were missed out which I was only shown in court which dramatically affected claim. Barrister they hired was good. Wouldn’t use dlg again though as too slow and communication and outcome not good enough.

Google Bad Review (2): I contacted DLG as I hoped they would act on my behalf for an unfair dismissal case. I contacted them immediately after my dismissal as I was aware there is a three month time limit for unfair dismissal claims.
It took them 2.5 months to decide they wouldn't take on the case.
My issue isn't that this was their decision, I understand that as costs are covered through insurance they have to be pretty sure it's a case they're going to win and mine was a complicated one.
My issue is the amount of time it took for them to make this decision. Private and confidential letters were sent to the wrong address and I had no record of their alleged attempted phone calls to me. I was left to continuously chase them up.
I feel they never really understood my case, despite sending a huge amount of evidence. Because they took so long to make their decision my legal case was sacrificed as I was left with insufficient time to find an alternative solicitor. I did however receive more helpful advice from a local solicitor in a ten minute free phone call than I did from DLG in the 2.5 months I was dealing with them.
Everyone I dealt with at the company was polite, but I would not recommend the company and in retrospect should have just used a local solicitor.
