Google Bad Review 1: I’ve been with them for 20 years plus and feel really let down. I have a really painful infection and rang them last week to get an emergency appointment. Was told there was none available for NHS patients but I could see someone if I went private and paid, sorry but you either have a slot or you don’t? So I emailed them back and asked when the next available NHS appointment was and didn’t even have the decency to get back to me. After an excruciatingly painful weekend and raging temperature I ended up ringing 111 who got me an emergency appointment with another local dentist where I was given X-rays and antibiotics, but they couldn’t treat me ongoing which was fair enough, and told me that my registered dentist would be responsible for ongoing treatment, they were brilliant to be honest. So this afternoon I ring Dentaliving and ask for a future appointment, not urgent now because I need to wait for the infection to go anyway. Was told that as I hadn’t been to the dentist in two years I was automatically struck off!! Oh but I can get an appointment if I go private and pay!! I said I wasn’t aware of this practice and that I’d never ever in all the years Id been with them ever been told about it and if I had known I would have made sure I’d gone. I don’t feel it’s right to waste the NHS’ money by keep going if I don’t need to but hey! The receptionist got very stroppy and told me that’s how it is and they don’t have to tell me. Honestly I’ve been in agony since last week and this behaviour has really shocked me. Seems they only want private patients now and after many years of earning from the NHS, they’re dumping them as soon as they can. It’s the way they’ve done it too, utterly disgusting. So a local dentist I’ve never gone to fitted me in for emergency treatment but my own dentist couldn’t care a less and wasn’t bothered at all that I was in pain because I couldn’t afford the private fees and couldn’t even reply to me. All they’re bothered about is money, would NEVER recommend these uncaring money grabbers, just don’t care at all if you can’t pay private. Would give them a zero if I could.
