Google Bad Review:  I am writing this review as I feel I should warn people about this business. Whilst I do support local businesses, ones that are dangerous need to be highlighted. I am truly not sure how there are so many good reviews on here. Let me highlight the personal issues I had before I get on to the safety issues. Firstly, let me point out that I used to be a driver in the drag racing world so I know quite a lot about cars and tyres. So, I have an imported car that is almost on classic status that will be having an overhaul in the near future, I had a long drive ahead of me and needed two tyres changing – I was reluctant to get brand new tyres as the wheels will be getting swapped during the overhaul. I arrive and am greeted with a very grumpy gentleman (I know we all have off days and I really tried to get him to be more friendly to no avail). His opening comment was he did not understand why people place aftermarket wheels on their cars and that he does not like it; thought this a little odd as that choice is down to the car owner, plus my wheels were not after market. After he finished his rant he went to raise my car with his pneumatic jack, in the process he broke the lighting under the car that illuminates when the car door opens. Glass smashed all over the floor but he chose to completely ignore this, when I pointed this out to him, he simply said, ‘well that shouldn't be there'. I was quite shocked as if he had not looked under the car in the first place (when he would have seen the light) how did he know where he was placing the jack. He then proceeded to moan that I had a security cover over the wheel nuts, I said I would remove this for him as he seemed quite confused. Once removed, he then did not have the correct size socket for the wheel nuts (there are only two sizes, each at two different depths). Luckily I carry a socket on me. He immediately shouted at me saying that it would not fit his pneumatic gun, I quickly explained that it would and had to physically prove it, and it did. He removed the wheel. This tyre had a leak that I simply wanted patching up. He then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the tyre – I explained that it had been loosing pressure and in the past month I have had to re-pressurise it twice – he told me I was wrong and placed it back on. At this point I really should have left, but as I was leaving for my long journey that afternoon, I pressed on. He then removed the second wheel, this tyre needed replacing as the tread was low. He replaced the tyre with a secondhand one, I noticed that the tyre had what looked like a large chunk out of it but was told that it was just where he had just taken a stone out of it, unfortunately I was on and important phone call at the time and rather distracted and he put the wheel back on. I was charged for inspecting the leaking tyre and the secondhand tyre. So all in all a terrible experience, with no apology for smashing my light nor any money off. Now here comes the dangerous part. Half way through my journey on the M6 I realise that my steering is pulling to one side. I was forced to pull over into the hard shoulder. The tyre that had been replaced was flat, further to this the tyre I was told that did not had a leak was also flat. My car was towed to a garage where they checked the tyres. I was told in no uncertain terms that the tyre that had been put on was dangerous, not only was the rubber perished but where I had seen the hole, it was not where a stone had been pulled out, it was a tear in the tyre through the steel radial. The garage showed me and explained that had I turned a sharp corner or had to break suddenly, it could had easily burst or ripped and the consequences could have been awful. The tyre also had an amazing 4 previous repairs to it and therefore never placed on my car. As for the tyre with a leak, they found the leak immediately.

I had even told the guy that I was about to embark on a long journey.

So, to sum up, very rude, very dangerous and not very carful with your property.
