Google Bad Review 1: I was unfortunately assigned one of Comptons Solicitors' partners as a conveyancing solicitor. My sale failed entirely and as well as a considerable loss of money I not only lost the sale of my flat but the purchase of my next property. The solicitor in question communicated the failure by email while I was on my way to sign the exchange documents. When I tried to call her her phone was on answering machine (as it always is) and nobody was available to get in touch with her. Although other factors as well contributed to my loss, certainly her incompetence, failure to point out possible difficulties and contact all parties when she was supposed to and in time for possible solutions to be found contributed very largely to the failure. She does not answer the phone (ever) and does not return calls when messages are left. She has no other person to deal with queries when she’s unavailable. I would not advise anybody to use this company for conveyancing unless you are prepared to lose money and possibly your sale/purchase.

Google Bad Review (2): Had an encounter with Comptons for Commercial property purchase and unfortunately I can't recommend them to anyone (so much so I am spending time writing this review). The individual I was dealing with was simply rude, ill-informed, not willing to co-operate and resolve the outstanding issues. Surprised to see basic questions were left unanswered by the partner. This resulted in the transaction taking considerably more time any such transaction should.
