Google Bad Review 1: Booked an appointment as it's local. Waited 20 minutes beyond the appointment time despite there being no one else in the building other than a family choosing some frames.
When the optician did appear, she asked the usual questions re: Covid symptoms. I said that I had recently had a mild cold which was now resolved, and additionally had taken a lateral flow test. I was told this was no good and had to have a PCR test. I explained that I did not have ANY of the symptoms ( persistent cough, fever, loss of sense of smell) nor had I been in contact with any known cases, which are the only situations which qualify for a NHS test. This was dismissed.
Obviously next time (though there won't be one) I will not be honest and mention a sniffle I had. Alternatively I could lie to the NHS Covid testing system claiming to have symptoms that I don't actually have. I would be interested to know which of these two possibilities this Optician's think most appropriate.
