Google Bad Review: AVOID!!!!! Completely shocked by what I’ve just experienced! Booked an apartment with booking.com. The terms and conditions stated you have to live outside of a 10mile radius, which was fine, I live in Cheshunt (46 MILES AWAY!!) I was on my way to the property and received a text asking for a deposit and it stated I have to live outside of 20 miles? Even tho the terms and conditions stated 10.. still all good as I live 46 miles away lol. Then I received another text to say my booking was cancelled because I need to live outside of a 25 miles radius? So now I was confused.. 10, 20 or 25 and why was my booking cancelled if I live so far!? I called the apartments and told the man on the phone I live in Cheshunt. He still proceeded to say the booking was cancelled because it ‘makes things easier for them’. I called back after sending an email with their terms and conditions stating 10 miles.. I don’t understand how I even come into this when I live in CHESHUNT! The man on the phone claimed he was the manager.. which I find impossible to believe. He was rude, unhelpful, would not let me speak or advise me how to get my money back and he also hung up on me after I pointed out he would not let me speak to ask how I can get my refund. Terrible service. Not worth the bother. I guess they don’t want to make money!
