Google Bad Review 1:  Unfortunately was allocated to stay in this hotel for my ten day hotel quarantine. There were health and safety issues with the room toilets. The first day while taking a bath i got several electric shocks right by the bath wall. Upon calling the hotel electrician and after checking he recommended to change the room as it was too dangerous and the second room i got the next day, was going to take a quick shower and yet again there was issue with the shower head not working and again upon calling the handyman who checked and told he doesn't has the spare shower to change they changed my room for the second time. Which absolutely felt a joke to me. Staff were kind and polite dealing with the scenario as considering its their job to handle such issue anyway. They never reported my first incident about getting electric shock to their general manager. And upon speaking to the general manager, she couldn't even help me. Said it's to do with the department of government to ask as all i was looking for was a compensation as i was absolutely unhappy paying for such hotel quarantine where I escaped a life threatening situation.
And above all it means the rooms weren't pre checked for health and safety before my check in.

Google Bad Review 1:  First of all you can tell that a lot of the 5/5 reviews are paid reviews which is common in this industry. Overall poorly managed property. Very overpriced for the type of service and rooms. Check in is poor and slow, I dealt with Mr CHENG at the front desk who showed no real desire to help, he just gave a standard answer at check in-“we cannot tell how many hours before a room is ready” and basically pushed me off. He never showed any eye contact, this seems to be the temperament of the majority of the front desk staff. Except for one person-I walked over to MURIEL at the next check in desk and she called housekeeping, she ascertained an estimate time and showed a true personal caring attitude. But, Unfortunately expect 3-4 hour minimum wait for your room.
Lounge lobby service is awful. I sat for almost an hour in a desolate lounge/restaurant in the lobby. Two waitress on site, both just standing talking with each other. Extremely poor-service. A just dont care attitude. Even when you speak with the manager Martin, he has the same attitude automatically defensive. If management exemplifies such poor service of course staff will project the same poor service attitude. Avoid here and walk a block over westminister bridge and enjoy a traditional meal at great price fantastic service. Overall poor service in entire facility. Location is the only exemplary praise. Please excuse brevity and grammatical errors

I was told that if we didn’t use room service then the money would automatically go back into my account 2/3 days after the visit. 4 phone calls and 3 weeks later I have received no repayment, no help and no consideration from any members of staff I have spoken to about the issue. What a corrupt place.

Google Bad Review 1:  ANTS!!! Ants everywhere in the room. We contacted reception and they advised that they couldn't move us rooms as they were fully booked but they would try and sort out some bug repellent. They never came up to us with anything, they didn't even bother to call the room to say they couldn't get any. Disgusting service. Also Air conditioning in room did not work.
Reception staff were exceptionally rude. A customer had phoned while we were trying to check in and the staff member who answered the phone was muttering explicitly to himself. Staff members barely acknowledge you when going up to the desk, they are rude, look dumbfounded with any question you ask them and have no manners. Even the hotel manager is as rude as them. These people need customer service training pronto. Would not stay here again due to the disgusting service we received and the state of the rooms. Ants everywhere, we were moved to another room for the following two nights down the hall but when we walked past out old room the Ants were still having a field day.

Google Bad Review (2):  Disappointed, we booked several months ago to attend the Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea on 2nd March, along with with booking a theatre show afterwards. On Feb 18th I received a call advising me the booking was to be cancelled due to a large event now happening which was not known about at the time of my booking. Only a reschedule was offered but given that this was a whole day in London planned that wasn’t going to work. We would have been happy with being in another room, but can only assume a corporate company has gone in at short notice to offer money for the whole place. Cancelling 12 days before our due date was extremely disappointing.

Google Bad Review 1:  1. We booked a night at the hotel as we had a spa for next day. I have booked for 3 months in advance for 1 hour with my wife at the same time but I had a call in the morning which 3h in advance saying that they don't have therapist. No solution were given only said ” Come back next time, we can't do nothing”. We weren't agree so we end up doing 30 min separately but it was even less than 20 min each not mentioning that we came from far.

Google Bad Review (2):  My wife (who’s just recovered from major surgery) and I came here for a “relaxingâ€? spa day and from the moment I arrived to the spa, my frustration started to build. This is purely down to the lady â€?workingâ€? the reception desk – Loreta. When we arrived, she made us feel like we were burdening her. Not a smile, nor a friendly welcome or even really a hello! We explained we had booked a spa day through buy a gift and had it confirmed via central reservations by forwarding them our voucher (as clearly stated in the redemption process). She complained twice that we did not have the physical voucher printed and aggressively said “it’s clearly written in the voucher you need to bring a physical copyâ€?. Upon careful inspection of the voucher, the voucher T&C’s and the confirmation email from Marriott spa reservations, there is absolutely no mention of needing to bring a physical/printed voucher, so why would we waste paper when we should be doing our utmost to protect the environment? We offered to email it across. Frankly there was no need to belittle us and make us feel awful for no reason. After this, we asked to hire some accessories, as stated on the buy a gift website and voucher “Robes, slippers and towels are available at an additional cost of £5 or you may bring your ownâ€?. The first issue was she charged us £12. As the statement above is vague, I can understand being charged £5 total and I can accept being charged £5pp, totalling £10 for 2. What I do not understand why she charged £12. She insisted £5pp was for the robe and £1pp was for the towel. I wasn’t going to argue over £2 so I left it. The second issue is we were not provided slippers. I pointed this out to Loreta and again aggressively she responded “it’s clearly written in the voucher slippers are subject to availabilityâ€?. Again I inspected the voucher and T&C’s and there is no mention of the phrase “subject to availabilityâ€?. I can live without a robe but slippers are an essential hygiene requirement when walking around the spa complex. When I challenged her statement and asked her to show me, she muttered to herself accepting she was wrong, but didn’t acknowledge my request, respond to me or even apologise for being rude and talking nonsense on two occasions! I kindly requested her to call house keeping and see if they can provide slippers as we had not brought our own, on the assumption we could purchase them from the hotel as stated on the voucher. She agreed to call, but when I returned 10 minutes later she hadn’t even bothered! How unprofessional and rude. She wasn’t busy, there were no other customers waiting for her attention, she was just self absorbed, on her phone it appeared. At this point I was highly agitated and insisted she call house keeping right away. Again not even an apology for not calling, just a horrid attitude. 10 minutes later house keeping kindly brought over some slippers. Besides this, the experience was fine. The massage started 20 minutes late and finished almost 10 minutes under the allocated time but it was good, firm-ish (as requested) but certainly very relaxing! Just to note, there is no water facilities here and water bottles are charged at £2 for 500ml. Parking is free for spa guests and on the contrary to the spa reception, the hotel reception staff were friendly. The hotel seems nice overall, just a real shame Loreta ruined our experience. As a platinum bonvoy member, I’ve never been treated so bad, I would never return to this Marriott as a result.
