Google Bad Review 1:  (Translated by Google) Hotel with the most unsympathetic reception I have ever known. Cleaning service every 3 days, lies by stating that they do not have cleaning service in the afternoon, they clean rooms at 7:30 p.m. in the afternoon and sue unfortunate. They do not put my points in my Radisson account because it was not done in the reservation and on the last day they tell me that there is no problem with another receptionist. Air-conditioned swimming pool ;D. It is not worth paying what you pay at all, Very very disappointed.

Hotel con la recepción más poco empatica que he conocido. Servicio de limpieza cada 3 días, mentiras al afirmar que no tienen servicio de limpieza por la tarde, limpian habitaciones a las 19:30h de la tarde y demandar lamentable. No ponen mis puntos en mi cuenta Radisson porque no se hizo en la reserva y el último día me dicen que no hay problema con otra recepcionista. Piscina con aire acondicionado ;D. No compensa en absoluto pagar lo que se paga, Muy muy decepcionado.

Google Bad Review (2):  First of all you can tell that a lot of the 5/5 reviews are paid reviews which is common in this industry. Overall poorly managed property. Very overpriced for the type of service and rooms. Check in is poor and slow, I dealt with Mr CHENG at the front desk who showed no real desire to help, he just gave a standard answer at check in-“we cannot tell how many hours before a room is ready” and basically pushed me off. He never showed any eye contact, this seems to be the temperament of the majority of the front desk staff. Except for one person-I walked over to MURIEL at the next check in desk and she called housekeeping, she ascertained an estimate time and showed a true personal caring attitude. But, Unfortunately expect 3-4 hour minimum wait for your room.
Lounge lobby service is awful. I sat for almost an hour in a desolate lounge/restaurant in the lobby. Two waitress on site, both just standing talking with each other. Extremely poor-service. A just dont care attitude. Even when you speak with the manager Martin, he has the same attitude automatically defensive. If management exemplifies such poor service of course staff will project the same poor service attitude. Avoid here and walk a block over westminister bridge and enjoy a traditional meal at great price fantastic service. Overall poor service in entire facility. Location is the only exemplary praise. Please excuse brevity and grammatical errors

Google Bad Review 1:  We originally booked for a wedding reception in summer 2020, and had to postpone twice due to government guidance at the time.

Whilst the food might have been good and the front-of-house staff helpful, the service provided as a company and specifically the management has been diabolical. We were informed by a third party that they weren't going to be fulfilling their commitments 4 months after they ceased trading (or going by previous reviews much longer!).

There are a lot of unanswered or inadequately answered questions, and I would urge any customer to be very wary of any future dealings with any companies that Mr Gurbind Rehinsi is associated with, particularly if you are relying on a service for large sums of money.

Google Bad Review (2):  Great for those who have more money than common sense and a good taste to Indain food.

This is the second time I visited Shampan and it will be the last. Two weeks ago I went there with my partner for the first time. There are lots to like about the Shampan, the restaurant is beautiful and modern, the staff is attentive and efficient while there is an air of class. The pomodoms are wonderful but trouble starts when it comes to main courses. The food is excessively hot and spicy, my partner could not eat it… and we both love hot and spicy food. It is like they dropped a jar of pepper in the food.

In our first visit I had lamb and my partner haddock. They were both nicely cooked but as explained well over peppered (it may be spices, chilli or whatever but that is what it tasted of… mountains of pepper). My partner had asked to have the fish medium spicy, however it was on the lines of a vindaloo. She could not eat it and when I finished her plate it wiped out the taste of my lamb, turning my lips into fire.

On our second visit, once again we asked the waiter (another one) to make the fish milder but he insisted the cheff would not adjust (so the previous time the waiter lied when he said it will be adjusted) So we are at his service and not the cheff at ours. Considering the high prices we pay one expects that the cheff would put half a chilli less… but no, he didn't and not only it was hot and firey but the fish this time was dry and burnt. I ordered beef which was nice and tender (and very very hot). I felt insulted to be presented with three cubes the size of oxo cubes in a large plate and a few table spoons of rice and a microscopic portion of some veg. But hey the most important bit is to have half a cup of this fiery, hot burning sauce to make the place look full and nice.

All we could taste is fire, heat, and burns… and I repeat we live hot spicy food.

On both occasions we had a bottle of very expensive red wine which we opted to finish drinking at the bar. I do not think I should be rushed to finish it so they close the bar… it was just past 11 pm not 3 am.

So on our first eveing I spent £135 and on the second £98 for a bottle of wine and two main courses and one dessert… and still the cheff would not adjust to my requirements. This makes me think the food is not freshly prepared.

Therefore, unfortunately I cannot recommend it, unless you have more money than common sense.

Google Bad Review 1:  An extremely over-rated restaurant with pathetic service and sub-standard ‘so-called' Indian Culinary experience.

By choosing their Mother's Day 3 course meal to treat my mother-in-law, wife and their cousin, I managed to ruin an otherwise great Mother's Day.

Anyone would expect great quality in food, service and ambience from a well rated Michelin star restaurant. I can rate them high on ambience, until you walk into dirty gents toilet (unless they were trying to give a real feel of India). Food and service can be described only by using the word “pathetic”.

They were so ridiculously cheap (in terms of their class) and crafty, that they even tried to charge my toddlers (2 and 3 year old) a £5 supplement each for their meal, even after informing them twice (once over telephone and again at the restaurant) that their website says it's complementary. Finally, they agreed not to charge only when I opened their webpage at the restaurant and read it to them word by word.

I'm still wondering who gave them Michelin star rating and what did that person ever know about Indian food experience when they gave the rating.

VERDICT: WILL NEVER VISIT OR RECOMMEND THIS OVERATED RESTAURANT TO ANYONE , ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE USED TO ENJOYING QUALITY, AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD ALONGSIDE GREAT SERVICE
