Google Bad Review:  Over charged for 3 cubes of chicken in a wrap. Rude lady when questioning the price. Spoke to the manager who was ignorant and rude his response was we don't need people like you here I will put the prices up. Charming gentleman.

Paid £7.40 for the small wrap and crisps please see attached photo.

They have no idea about customer service and I believe the only reason why they are still open is because the area is limited to sandwich shops. Dreadful place please avoid.

Will never return and neither will my work colleagues.

Google Bad Review 1:  I've been a member in this gym for a couple of months.
In general the facilities are OK for the price, although it gets crowded and equipment are not often maintained.
Studio classes are quiet small with low ceiling and most of the time packed with people.

The most unfortunate thing with The Circle Gym and spa is how they treat their customers. I cancelled my membership with them by speaking to the lady at the reception desk. She assured me that my membership will be cancelled at the end of the month. Unfortunately I found out after many months later that they kept on debiting my account while I was thinking that my membership has ceased.
I tried to claim a refund, but the customer service is incredibly bad. No answers to my calls, no answers to my emails. The only answer I got is that they do not want to refund me as I should have contacted Harlands – the company that takes direct debits for the Circle Gym – to stop the payments.

I believe that it is entirely the responsibility of the club to stop the direct debits after a membership has ceased. Or at least to apologise and refund instead of sending their customer a very cold email that almost reads like YOU'VE BEEN SCAMED AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO.

Of course, I will follow this case legally with the gym, but I wanted to warn everyone who might read this review that this club has a very indecent customer service and have no consideration for their client. In addition of being a very average overpriced club.

EDIT:
The Circle gym and Spa answered to this review below, confirming that they haven't done their job and stop charging a customer's bank account after the end of membership. The reason they came up with is that as a customer I need to block the direct debit payment after the end of my membership, otherwise we keep on charging you for more than 2 years. I will leave the reader of this comment to judge on that. Thanks

Google Bad Review 1:  I am writing this review because I read all the reviews on both Treatwell and Google before booking and I feel the reviews provided do not give a fair representation.

Firstly, the “spa” is not “tucked away” – it sits directly in the gym so while we were waiting we heard the sound of people running on machines over bass heavy workout music. Not exactly the tranquil vibe you'd expect.

Secondly, despite calling to change the booking as my friend for whom this was a birthday treat was not able to get a babysitter, they were clearly not aware of the change and one of the therapists almost started arguing with me about it. They were clearly upset about this prospect. There was no receptionist to greet us and we were rushed through the health questionnaire. Noone checked mine.

To continue, the “therapists” did not ask whether there was any part of the body to focus on or anything else. I am not sure which one of us had the swedish massage (which I had called to change to a deep tissue and the person answering the phone confirmed) and which the supposed deep tissue. All I can say is that I was privy to some slightly deeper pressure on my back and my partner on his legs. It was a lot of oil and stroking, like a turkey being basted.

Finally, after the massage the lady came back in a minute after leaving while we were undressed, I was literally topless, to retrieve her phone which had been charging in the room. She then accidentally pushed a chair into my naked body. Accident, of course. But I have never experienced something like it. Why is the phone being charged in this room? Why can it not be retrieved after we have dressed and left?

If a deep tissue massage is not within the skillset of the spa, it should not be listed on the menu. If the therapists that day cannot provide it then do not book it. Overall this was the worst massage I have ever had in London in over 10 years and probably third worst massage in my life (after one in Bulgaria and one in Slovenia).

In the end I was happy my friend had cancelled as this would not have been a very nice birthday treat.

My daughter bought me a Mother’s Day pamper retreat spa day and we were excited to spend the day together – and we’re so disappointed.

We should have known something was up after when we called to confirm our booking and 3 calls later we found they had us booked in on the wrong day.

A dilapidated environment and unbelievably unrelaxing. Workout music so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation- no where to relax or retreat. Two uncomfortable hard loungers by the gym pool whilst children were having swimming lessons overlooked by the gym machines and other work out rooms – not a retreat !! Not as advertised. We felt totally misled

It’s a gym with a treatment room and ‘tucked away’ means small and in the back !!

The changing rooms were poky and soaking wet – the slippers they gave us were drenched instantly.

No one seemed to be on reception and we ended up hanging around waiting for someone to appear a lot.

The massages were good – but they were so disorganised that they started us late but still finished on time

The ‘gifts’ / goody bag for mum – was free samples that you’d get at a boots counter.

My daughter was very embarrassed too and upset as this was her gift to me. Shame on whom ever wrote such misleading dialogue for the advertising

Google Bad Review 1:  I've been a member in this gym for a couple of months.
In general the facilities are OK for the price, although it gets crowded and equipment are not often maintained.
Studio classes are quiet small with low ceiling and most of the time packed with people.

The most unfortunate thing with The Circle Gym and spa is how they treat their customers. I cancelled my membership with them by speaking to the lady at the reception desk. She assured me that my membership will be cancelled at the end of the month. Unfortunately I found out after many months later that they kept on debiting my account while I was thinking that my membership has ceased.
I tried to claim a refund, but the customer service is incredibly bad. No answers to my calls, no answers to my emails. The only answer I got is that they do not want to refund me as I should have contacted Harlands – the company that takes direct debits for the Circle Gym – to stop the payments.

I believe that it is entirely the responsibility of the club to stop the direct debits after a membership has ceased. Or at least to apologise and refund instead of sending their customer a very cold email that almost reads like YOU'VE BEEN SCAMED AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO.

Of course, I will follow this case legally with the gym, but I wanted to warn everyone who might read this review that this club has a very indecent customer service and have no consideration for their client. In addition of being a very average overpriced club.

The Circle gym and Spa answered to this review below, confirming that they haven't done their job and stop charging a customer's bank account after the end of membership. The reason they came up with is that as a customer I need to block the direct debit payment after the end of my membership, otherwise we keep on charging you for more than 2 years. I will leave the reader of this comment to judge on that. Thanks
