Google Bad Review 1:  I was referred here for a root canal and had an appointment booked two weeks in advance. I arrived on time only to be told that my appointment was being cancelled because the specialist was abroad.

I was told that they'd sent me a text message so I checked my phone and indeed I had received a text sent 7 minutes before my appointment time informing me it was cancelled. Presumably they had far more advance notice of the specialist's overseas travel plans than 7 minutes.

I had to book the entire morning off work for nothing and no compensation at all was offered – they wouldn't even refund my deposit despite it being their cancellation. Despite this I'm sure they charge patients heavily for failing to cancel with enough advance notice.

Completely hypocritical and shows a total lack of respect for their patients. The next appointment they could offer me was over two weeks away which simply isn't good enough when a patient has severe tooth pain and isn't at fault.

Google Bad Review (2):  Awful service – will not visit again.

Booked a dental ‘check up' and waited a long time to get an available slot, they wanted a £65 payment in advance, only to arrive on the day to find I'm booked with a hygienist only with no dentists available… £65 to see a hygienist, which includes no dental opinion?? are they crazy. Another over priced London service which adds little to no customer value.

Additional to this I visited previously to assess possible straightening options. Had full pictures taken and promised an email with straightening options based on the photos, nothing came through. Upon chasing multiple times and trying to book time to discuss with a consultant the timeslots were limited to non-existent, with the only thing possible being a quick chat with a coordinator.

Will find another dentist.

Update – 14th October:
After complaining previously, Ten Dental have been in touch to book another appointment for this Saturday. Now discovered AGAIN after the booking has been made, that this AGAIN is only with a hygienist. Why is it so difficult to see a DENTIST at the dentists??
Requested all customer details are deleted, tired of wasting my time.

Regarding the manager feedback about my previous post – this makes no sense – the problem wasn't that a booking didn't exist – the booking WAS in the diary but not with a dentist as requested. I did not refuse to make any payment, I double checked the booking was still there because I didn't have my wallet at the time when requested and I was told my appointment was confirmed and they stated the timeslot – the problem was the mistake you made in booking the wrong thing NOT a payment issue.
