Google Bad Review 1: Bad experience with this car dealer. I bought a Toyota Aygo from this car dealer on the 31st August. There were all sorts of faults with the car. There was a fault with the power steering, causing this to feel heavy when driving it. As well as this, when using the footbrake, stopping at a traffic light, the car stops, it wouldn't move. An exclamation mark appears on the dashboard. This happens every day with the car, on average at least 6 to 10 times a day. This happened to me during rush hour when driving to and back from work. The car broke down on the dual carriageway. I was unable to move it. I have only had the car for 3 months and it is already breaking down. This is my first car and I am very disappointed with this car dealer. This car has caused a lot of problems in 3 months. The car dealer tried to hide the fact the car wasn't driven because it was a first car. He made no mention of how many faults the car had. The car dealer is a very untrustworthy person.
I wrote a review on “Cars of Manchester”, site. The car dealer knew who I was and what he did to me. He sent an email to Auto trader saying he didn't sell me a grey Toyota Aygo with faults and he didn't know who I was. Auto Trader asked me for proof, I had the invoice as proof. As well as, the bank transfer I made to “Cars of Manchester”. Auto trader reviewed my evidence, my review is back up on the “Cars of Manchester”, site
This man is putting young girls lives at risk. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I would recommend not purchasing a vehicle from this man if you value your lift. God knows what will be wrong with the car you purchase from him. If he can do this to a young girl then I wonder what else he has been doing. He is a very dangerous man…

Google Bad Review (2): I recently bought a Car from Car Firm and the service was excellent, I was very happy. So I posted a positive review on this site and experienced problems doing so, I kept seeing the message ‘something gone wrong'. Therefore, I couldn't verify my my email or do it via their provided routes because I am not a social media orientated individual. I did however, use both my email accounts (attached the invoice) to submit the review and it still wasn't published. I have contacted the site 3 times now to ask why and for some reason they are ignoring my emails. I think it is important to provide good honest reviews when you're experience is positive with any business transaction. It is a shame that companies like yourself have left me feeling that you sieve through the reviews and determine what should be published, which is NOT acceptable! I hope you do respond back to me, as you have my emails.
Just an update to the experience above, Shaun who I understand is the owner of Car Dealers Review kindly responded to my feedback above and helped resolve the issue. Although he was extremely helpful it did take a negative review on their site to take notice of the complaint. In hindsight, I do wonder if this would have been resolved if it weren’t for the negative review.
Another update: I have written many reviews before for various areas of retail but never experienced such a back and forth scenario or a company emailing me (more than once) to change their review. I do feel strongly about this one, as to how it was dealt with. So I feel I should respond to CarDealersReviews. Although I appreciate their efforts above, it’s disappointing that the real issue here was not stated. I clearly wrote above that I had to use both my email addresses (both have my first, middle and last name and/or initials) obviously from same IP address to submit the review. Regardless of name, when I experienced the problem I explicitly explained the issue via email, attached the invoice and included the email addresses (replied with one, cc’d the other). After 3/4 email attempts, it took the negative feedback on their site for them to respond. If they had responded to one of the emails the problem would have been resolved. Rather than stating exactly that, a lack of response from CarDealersReviews as the emails were ignored. They’ve gone into detail to justify their fault and referred to car firms, which is very unprofessional.
Conclusion: I completely understand the needs for checks, it is vital to ensure the validity of reviews. However, future reviews should NOT be based on CarDealersReviews previous experience of a car firm, especially when a customer emails them. I submitted a review based on my experience of the company I bought the car from. CarDealersReview clearly have a predetermined conception about companies and as a result decided not to publish the review, which is unethical. This review was about the lack of service from CarDealersReview and their response illustrates my initial concern and leaves me feeling that there may be some bias as to which reviews are published.
I will be changing the 3 stars back to 1 star.
