I decided to take out pet insurance with them after researching all the major companies. After looking at all the options on offer with them for my 2 dogs and a online chat with a member of customer service at Bought By Many, I decided to go with the 20% back each year if I didn't make any claims. Well fast forward 1 year and 2 months and no cash back. I contacted them to be told I wasn't on that option I had been put on the standard policy. I checked the paperwork and it didn't mention either policy type clearly, so I asked them to look into it. They advised they would and come back to me in 3 days. Well they didn't until I chased them only to be told they had looked into it and I had chosen standard plan. I questioned the conversation I had had online when taking out the policy and from the answers I was being told it was clear they hadn't looked into anything. When reading the emailed script I had requested when I first took out the policy (which I always do) I clearly said that the cashback optionIoption was the one I wanted. Infuriated I cancelled the insurance with no refund or apologie. Frankly they didn't care enough to even check their records. After that I am glad I never had to use the insurance for something serious as I would hate to think of what lies I would be told to avoid the claim payment. VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY! IF YOU WANT REASSURANCE IN YOUR PETS HEALTH FIND ANOTHER COMPANY.

After this I looked at other people's reviews recently, it seems this company has gone from 5 stars intin the past to 2 stars at best (1 star from my experience).

Moving forward, should you choose Aegis, you will forced to work with Chris Fitzgerald and Gemma Burns.
Chris is arrogant, confrontational and lacks the professionalism to handle the complex needs of the insurance broker. Mr. Fitzgerald could also benefit from an ego check. I don't understand Gemmas role at Aegis, but her severe and militant personality makes you not want to question her on any level. Megan and Abbey are great to work with.

Stick with Beazley or other markets. Aegis talks a good game but difficult to work with. Opal is a bust. Arrogant, incompetent underwriters. No thanks.
