Google Bad Review (2):  I booked this week in advance for my partners birthday. I asked if I could bring a cake and I received an e-mail back that there would be a £5 per person cake charge, this is shocking as I have never known a restaurant (especially a high end one as I’ve been to many) that require a £5 per person “Cake charge” to replace the desserts not purchased. May I also add we spent just under £500, I’m sure Bombay Bustle could have allowed us to bring a cake out of courtesy.

Anyway this wasn’t the biggest issue, I responded to the e-mail and said ‘its fine I don’t be bringing a cake’. On arrival the first thing I was reminded of was the £5 per person cake charge when I was standing next to my partner, we didn’t even bring a cake in the end despite and responding to the e-mail I don’t know why your staff felt they needed to remind me, this obviously gave away any form of surprise to my partner who was standing next to me, now I understand it was an honest mistake by the staff so I didn’t want to upset the person who said this to us, I just felt she could have been a bit mindful but anyway, once again this wasn’t the biggest issue…

The main issue was the lady who attended to us downstairs, I didn’t catch her name but she was Caucasian with blond hair tied in a bun…she had no manners and constantly rushed us, she said we only had a 2 hour slot and needed to order quickly or she would be forced to move us… This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, no only had no one told us about this “2 hour slot” but to be told we’d be “forced to move” really shocked me. This whole experience is such a shame and could have easily been avoided, the food was good and the place is lovely but the staff were shocking. I was honestly so taken back by the poor attitude of the 2 ladies we had to deal with I didn’t even complain, we just ate and got out of there. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the customer service.

Google Bad Review 1:  Bitterly disappointed. We went with high expectations given the great reviews this place has but the only thing they got right of our order were the drinks. Service was slow, the food quality was low-average at best and wasn’t even reheated properly (food is microwaved) and wasn’t that cheap either. The naan bread was OK. I would not recommend this place to anyone for a sit down meal, but as a take away place it might be worth it.

We couldn’t eat the food as it sat in an oozing gloop in the box. We called to complain and were told the manager would call back. He didn’t. I emailed and called again. Nothing.

Steer well clear of this place. Badly run, no customer service, inedible food, packaging doesn’t work. Very, very disappointing.

Google Bad Review 1:  I saw the offer of 30% off on Facebook for Colonel Saab restaurant. I called the restaurant to find out whether the offer I had seen on Facebook was valid on our visit to the restaurant and the person on the other end of the phone said yes. I called the restaurant on the day of our booking as we did not have the voucher but only the screenshot. The person on the other end said that he would accept the screenshot as the voucher as there is no mention of the voucher anywhere on their website when clicking the link.

When we sat on the table, I mentioned about the discount to the waiter and he said ‘Fine’. Finally we got the bill with no discount taken off. I told them that I had a discount. They asked me to show my phone. The waiter took my phone to the manager. The manager said the discount is only available if we book a table via their website. Absolutely nowhere does it mention on the link on fb that the booking needs to be made on the website. I clicked on the link and it takes you to the website with no mention of the discount anywhere on the website. The GM refused to honour the discount and inspite of explaining that his staff had agreed the screenshot to be used as a voucher, he wasn’t willing to budge. After much embarrassing discussion they gave us £20 off the bill which wasnt even the 30%. Anyway,I’m definitely not going there again and will never recommend it to anyone either. In the end a positive experience turned into a negative experience.

Google Bad Review 1:  I was out from London Zoo and looking for a place to dine nearby. I was kind of deceived by the google rating of 4.2. However, I think there is something going on with this restaurant that is either management issues or post COVID crisis.
There was only one waitress who happens to do almost every thing. He was trying to catch up and multitask but with a lot of mistakes. Everything takes so long to happen. I have to wait a bit for him to pay my check. The price is extremely over the quality of the food and service. Some items in the menu are not available. Do not ask for ice, because they do not have it. Therefore, you have to accept almost room temperature Cola.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have a tastecard for this restaurant and I told them in advance which they agreed I have 50% off. Then after the bill came they told me they don’t do the tastecard scheme anymore because of the new government scheme. Which is utter bs since the new government scheme shaves off £20 off a bill, whereas with tastecard (that I’ve paid for) I would get £45 of my bill. The food wasn’t even that good and we got charged loads when they straight up lie about their discounts beforehand. Waste of money.

Google Bad Review 1:  We used these guys years ago for a short period of time, started out well and went downhill quickly, with the lack of decent options still available to us we decided to give them another go hoping 7 years might have made a difference……… Oh no, it hasn’t, generic, bland, tasteless, not worth the calories as some would day, looks like it’s going to be great, got the look of a decent curry, got excited peeling the lids back, so disappointed on the taste side, would rather have toast.

Google Bad Review (2):  One of the crappiest food I have tasted in recent times.
Ordered paneer tikka masala and it was incredibly sweet. I was told it was customized to “local taste”. Now, as an Indian, I would not touch this.

Bhindi was as bland as it could get. They could have served it raw.

I returned the whole stuff back and got the money back, thank you. I then ordered food from next door “peppers”. Only to find out both Curry leaf and Peppers are actually owned by the same people. Hmm mm.

Google Bad Review 1:  I honestly don’t know how this place has gotten so many good reviews, I came across it and thought id check what others have said. Saw many good things, especially about the Rogan Josh and decided to give it a try

We ordered vegetable samosas and the deluxe platter, with some house red wines

The samosas were COLD on the inside, not fried properly (although they did change it for us), the tandoori meats were overcooked and had one note of flavour throughout

The chicken tikka masala had barely any taste and was very sweet, the Rogan Josh also the same

Our wine glasses were filled to the brim which we were happy about until we tasted the drink and it was as if I was sipping on vinegar! Clearly trying to finish an old opened bottle

The service was very poor, they barely came around, ignored us when we were speaking to them and when after we complained about the samosas it seemed they were annoyed at us

Would not recommend at all
