Google Bad Review 1: -If I could give 0/5 stars I would – STUDENTS: DO NOT LIVE HERE
-the WORST student accommodation I have ever lived in
-Supposedly ‘for' the students yet they are just a hotel-like business trying to earn lots of money under the form of a ‘charity'. They let out rooms to the public whilst students are living there (this happened to me as I got moved to a temp room because of the construction works)
-Students want an accom where they can say it's their ‘home away from home' & for it to be a place where they can study since that's what they have gone to uni for
-This ENTIRE year, ALL Wills House residents suffered from construction – the constant noise was painful & there was so much dust from the works. A friend fell sick from inhaling so much dust. It's very unhealthy – construction workers wear headphones & dust masks when working – students living in the accommodation shouldn't have to because WE DIDN'T DECIDE TO PAY RENT FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. Even when ISH said construction would be 9am-5pm, this was a lie – the construction work would happen from 7:30/8am to 6/7pm
-The construction was to renovate the student rooms. Students arrived in September, having already paid a £600+ deposit and either a month/50%/100% of their (expensive) rent, thinking they would have a peaceful year, only to become subject to non-stop construction. ALL students in Wills House were forced to MOVE rooms, which is obviously not what students signed up and PAID for. These temporary rooms lasted approximately 3-4 months. Why should students have to move rooms when they didn't ask? & especially when they paid to live in ONE ROOM FOR THE YEAR not more than 1 – they have to keep moving ALL of their belongings
-The temporary rooms weren't better – they were newly refurbished &in the BASEMENT. Utterly unlivable. There wasn't enough space for me to open my room door as it kept hitting my chair. The ‘window' was just a pane of glass which WOULDN'T OPEN. Not only could I hear the construction work in the floors above, but there was also construction work OUTSIDE my window
-Because students have paid for a 40-week contract to study during the year, they are locked in & cannot escape no matter how bad the circumstances
-Since students have nowhere else to live whilst studying, ISH completely took advantage of this + how they can't do anything because they've signed the contract. They had the WHOLE summer to renovate the rooms, but they didn't because they were too busy earning lots of money acting as a hotel for tourists
-ISH only gave £100 compensation (UNDER 1 week worth of rent) – even this the students had to beg for since they weren't going to give anything. ISH also tried to butter the students up by giving Xmas & Easter food ‘gifts'.
-ISH has no proper study rooms – they were conference rooms when they were free (couldn't use if ISH was earning £££ by renting it to rich businesses/organisations). When students complained, they implemented ‘pods' (attached) – these are in the reception & by the lifts – areas where many people walk past so it's super noisy & unsuitable to study at. After that (only when students complained) they made a study room by the front entrance of the building. The light is so dim & there are no lamps, the walls are so thin you can hear everyone walking in & out of the building, the windows are so thin you can hear everyone and even smell the smoke coming from the cigarettes people are smoking outside
-ISH rents out their space for events, concerts & clubbing nights. It's always so noisy but what can students do? ISH doesn't care about the students & only cares about the £. They try to butter up students with free breakfast (bad) & by scheduling events & trips
-The rent is not worth the price – the rooms are small with minimal amounts of storage, a non-existent desk – showers & toilet often floods & it wouldn't be surprising to find mould or cockroaches in your room

Google Bad Review (2): As a group we wrote to Mr Dytor some months ago asking for some change to this ‘charity'. Nothing has happened. It is greedy, run by a horrible man who only cares about power. Students are not cared for, the staff are scared and it is not the good place it usedto be. We said we'd write to the charity commission and start posting on social media after 3 months and that time is almost up.
