Google Bad Review:  This is quite a poor quality apartment experience. For the same money I should have stayed in a hotel. At least in a hotel you have the opportunity to raise any issues or complaints with the team at reception. Here you are on your own.

When I got into bed to sleep I found the mattress was absolutely impossible to get comfortable on, as I could feel the springs everywhere. As a result I had to pull out the sofa bed in the living area to sleep on. Not happy.

Also, the WiFi did not work, just ridiculous.

Additionally, the address is listed as being Avonmore Road, but the actual apartment is somewhere else. They don’t tell you this before hand, instead they let you book first (non-refundable by the way) and they email you a day in advance of your stay with the real address.

Google Bad Review:  Sorry but this is borderline false advertising here. We travel internationally every year and every so often we come across places like this that advertise clean, spacious accommodation in quaint surroundings but the truth is rather quite different.

While the owner did very graciously help us out with our parking problem it doesn't make up for a poor experience here—so poor that we left a day early in search of alternate accommodation. The room was TINY, with two beds taking up most of the available space (nowhere to put suitcases), the bathroom was old and in need of upkeep, and the place in general seemed over-used and under-maintained. We never met the owner or her staff but rather were directed by a seemingly endless parade of Dos and Donts notices stuck to just about everything in sight.

Worst of all, there were two families, both with young kids, crammed into two of the other rooms, plus another older couple. It was so noisy and cramped (and hot). We were all stuffed into this dilapidated apartment floor like sardines. Poor judgement on the part of the owner to book like this.

Not an experience we plan to repeat.

Google Bad Review:  We visited Home Farm a week ago. Originally, I was meant to be going there for my hen do before I became unwell and had to cancel it. When trying to cancel the booking, the site refused to give my deposit back despite me being able to offer doctors notes to prove that my illness was significant. I thought this was in bad taste really as originally they sent an email saying I would be refunded before then telling me they couldn't afford it. Despite this, they transferred the deposit amount to a different booking and I booked to visit with my family as it was less intense than a hen do.
Once we were allocated our bell tent and went inside, the roof was mouldy and there was cobwebs inside. We went to the communal barn to use the campsite cooking equipment (which was clean) however the entire barn was taken over by international students who were rowdy and created an unsettling environment for our toddler, not the peaceful dinner we were expecting. That evening, the students continued to be loud and noisy which disrupted our sleep. The next day, a staff member (who was very nice and polite) called Courtney apologised for the students noise and assured us they were leaving that day so the stay from that point should be more settled. The second night, a new group of students moved in who were even louder and more disruptive. On the third night, a stag do or works do arrived and the noise, constant swearing and shouting was unbearable for the entire night. None of us had any sleep at all. The showers were somewhat clean apart from the base where your feet stand and the lower tiles which were orange. The toilets were always left stocked with toilet roll and a hand towel which was a nice touch. After the third night, we decided that enough was enough and we would end our stay early. We spoke to Michael (staff member) before we left who was extremely polite and kind and offered if there was anything he could do for us but by this point we had had enough and just wanted to go home. The website describes the campsite as a family campsite but it really is not that and shouldn't be advertised as such.

Google Bad Review:  BED BUGS AND TERRIBLE ORGANIZATION
We booked our sailing tour to the Cyclades islands in September through an Italian supplier. Not only our holiday was ruined, but the customer service was ridiculous, and we never got reimbursed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
DISORGANIZED
In short, the Italian website was not aligned with Seafarersailing.co.uk. While we were promised a specific tour, passengers who booked directly through them were told that the tour would include one new island per day, with no guarantee of which one. This already messed up our plans on what to visit… This was the first sign of general disorganization and misalignment with their official vendors. Also, the snorkeling advertised on their site was canceled due to COVID19, with no notice.
BED BUGS
Me and my wife both had bed bugs bites after our first night on the boat. We were not initially sure, but after our third day, when the number of marks increased, we contacted a doctor. The doctor clearly identified the red, swollen, triangular-shaped bites and strongly advised us to quit the sailing tour. We could easily confirm through previous footage that these bite marks were not present on our body before sailing. We were told that this was impossible because “the crew thoroughly sanitized and cleaned the boat before our arrival for COVID19 issues”. But this does not mean that they killed any bed bug since they hide in seams and wood and require a different treatment (fumigation). We had to thoroughly disinfect EVERYTHING once at home… The crew did not believe us and unprofessionally dismissed our claims, saying they believed this was just an excuse for us to leave the cruise, because we did not like it. Because of this, we really doubt any check was performed. We understand the surprise about the situation, but it is not unheard of that bed bugs can be found on boats with different guests every week.
After we reported this to the managing director at seafarer, he also dismissed our claims since in 25 years he had never heard of such problems. However, funnily enough, he also added “Nonetheless, to be 110% sure, they have been instructed to carry out the appropriate remedial actions, just in case.” Even after saying this, they categorically refused to reimburse not even a part of our trip.
This all led us to have to reschedule our holiday, pay a whole new set of hotels and lose 2000 euro. We find unacceptable that a company which should value the health and safety of their passengers would put so little effort in such situations!!!
