Google Bad Review 1:  Acorn Landscaping were employed to install chainlink fencing and wooden fencing and a gate. They were also employed to lay gravel in a courtyard with York stone slabs and paint the walls white. This part of the job was done to a satisfactory standard. In addition they were supposed to finish off the sides to my entry gate but they did not complete this part of the job. The chain link fencing job was appalling. They either had no clue or tried to get away with doing a very substandard job with the cheapest of materials. When I complained the people who came to ‘rectify’ the poor quality had no idea what to do. I have now had to have all their chain link fencing removed and reinstalled by a reputable company who knew exactly how this should be installed and used proper quality chain link with metal posts. In addition the wooden fence and gate were not installed to a proper standard. The fence was not even straight and the gate was bowed and it was difficult to close the lock as the hinges were in the wrong position. The posts were not in the ground to a sufficient level and the whole lot would have easily blown over. So again I had to have this work rectified. The chain link fencing was incorrectly installed and when it was removed the wooden posts were easily pulled out of the ground. Unfortunately I had no previous experience of having this type of fencing installed and was pretty horrified when I called for a second opinion and had to have it replaced. It is now all done superbly, properly tensioned and looks really good. I could never recommend Acorn and i had no faith in asking them to redo the job.

Google Bad Review (2):  People halfway down the road from me had their fence done by these people, I’m not enjoying their loud music as they work. And cigarette smoke might be theirs too. Having to keep my windows shut on a sunny day as I work from home, I can still hear the music through my double glazing though. I don’t play my music when I’m in the office working because it would disturb others. Same should apply to these workers. There are shift workers trying to sleep round here and people like me who get really affected by noise.

Google Bad Review (2):  The two people from this company who came did not speak English which made communicating properly to discuss things almost impossible. But the worst thing was the unpleasant surprise at being quoted £500 to remove the hedge and tree rubbish they had already chopped down (we had to keep it in the front garden and arrange another firm to remove at a non ludicrous price) and then claiming they had been at our house for longer than they had to get more cash. I would recommend avoiding.
