Google Bad Review 1:  Another bad taste corner shop, off license attitude. From my perspective this is not a dental practice but a mere joke. Some public relation training would be of great help but I am pretty sure they do not hold the property of the term/concept therefore they would have troubles into looking for classes. Long story short – I was unfortunate enough to visit this off license for a bridge recement procedure (quite straight forward procedure I would say and basics of any dental practice) not for this practice though. I was informed that the tooth under the bridge is not looking good and that the bridge won't hold for long, which was something I was aware of. However, I did not expect to be able to pull out the bridge with my tongue just after two days. At that moment I called the corner shop and ask for full refund as I was gutted by the whole thing – they asked to come in to see for themselves. Once I got there they were looking to recement the bridge but I said no and asked again for a full refund. They have declined a full refund invoking several reasons. All in all the experience was awful, left disappointed with the feeling that I have visited a shady market trader selling rotten fish at Billingsgate market. There are so many things they should improve that I could write a case study on them.

Google Bad Review 1:  DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST! I went to see Dr Almasi as I had an infected crown in Sept 2021. The receptionist was as miserable as sin. She also doubled as the dental nurse. Unbelievable as when I was being treated she was in and out answering the phone and huffing and puffing. Anyway he took out the crown and then took an x ray and said I had periodontitis. The gum disease. He said it was v bad and my front 4 teeth were falling out and it was if not when re when they would. I was horrified. I had no symptoms of this at all. He told me all he could do was try and stave off the inevitable with a brace behind my teeth. Of course I was so worried my teeth would fall out I booked an appointment to get this done asap. Whilst doing it he needed the receptionist/dental nurse to put some light etc onto brace and heat but she kept going to answer phone so he did most of it. Needless to say a couple of weeks later the wire part of brace started poking through and cutting into my tongue. I called and went back where he “fixed it”. A week later i was back again as again it was poking into my tongue when talking etc. He just shrugged and put as much filler or whatever it was on the brace and said again “your teeth will fall out so this is just a temporary measure”. I paid about £800.00 overall. The brace in the meantime has chipped and pieces broken into my food. Not nice at all. I moved and today visited a dentist that thoroughly checked my teeth and gums and took various x rays. She is astounded I have been told I have periodontitis. I do not. My gums are healthy and my teeth are good. She has stated the brace should never have been put on and even if I had periodontitis it would have been the worst thing to do! She is going to remove the brace immediately as it probably has done more damage than good. I felt this dentist compared to Dr Almasi was professional, calm, comforting and extremely thorough. I was there for an hour. My gums were checked so thoroughly and I was so relieved to hear I did not have periodontitis. Dr Almasi and that surgery are a disgrace. Poor hygiene and working practises. Like a back street surgery. He has caused me untold stress worrying how I am going to pay for 5 implants at approximately 2000 each. He should be thoroughly ashamed of himself and I am going to report him to the appropriate authorities. Please for your own sanity and well being DO NOT GO THERE. If I could give it ZERO stars I would.

Google Bad Review 1:  I had an appointment here a few years ago for a standard check up and to see their hygienist. From a technical standpoint, everything was good. The surgery is clean and the staff are efficient. What I feel should be highlighted was the overall pressure and fear tactics that some staff employed with me. Throughout my treatments I was given a worst case scenario of what would happen if I didn't take action. Granted, I'm not exactly a poster boy for dental care but I felt that certain staff were ramping up every single issue, such as wisdom teeth, overcrowding, replacement fillings etc. I know that it's a service I paid for but when I left with a list of potential treatments that I “should” be having done, I felt it was more out of salesmanship than patient care. During my visit, I felt pressured into paying for, let's face it, very expensive dental work that I couldn't afford. This was all backed up with catastrophising and it effectively scared me. The end result? I didn't return. I felt I was being sold to and I didn't appreciate it. I'd advise anyone to steer clear and find a local, private surgery who won't pressure you so much.

Google Bad Review 1:  I don't know if it is the materials they use that are cheap or this ‘Dr. Nisar' guy's skills that are poor.

Went to this place for a tooth bonding, and the surface of it started to peel off within a week. Went back to fix it and he polished it so much that the tooth became visibly sharper. Went back again, he added an extra layer, and the surface of it just peeled off again.

I try to be careful with posting negative comments, but this is just outrageous.

Google Bad Review (2):  My friend had terrible tooth pain on a Sunday morning, so we tried to find a so-called 24 hour emergency dentist. This place is first of all NOT 24 hours (9am-9pm) and is not open on a Sunday. The title is extremely misleading and should be re-titled immediately. We have had to travel across London (whilst she is in agonising pain) to find a true 24 hour emergency dental service (which we luckily found). The timetable and name of this practice needs to be adjusted on Google – and quickly!

Google Bad Review 1:  The Nigerian dentist tried to charge me £460 for a very simple temporary crown as my own dentist in Ireland is fitting a new crown for me in a few days. I asked why so expensive as it only takes a few mins to make and fit and costs him only £3 from the dentists wholesalers. Plus it only takes a few minutes to glue it in place.
He was very rude and condescending and said that was his price ( and inferred “take it or leave it “ ) Well I left it . Bad experience. Bad attitude. Predatory pricing. Avoid avoid avoid.

PS I do not believe the 5 star reviews are genuine. But the 1 star reviews are 100% accurate.

Google Bad Review (2):  I am lodging a heartfelt complaint against Baker Street Dental who were helpful to me on my first visit and then – disastrously – refused to treat my tooth pain, misdiagnosing it as stress because – initially – the issue did not show up on xray.

I pleaded with Dr Nikos, repeatedly, to treat the very painful tooth which I could feel was doing damage to the rest of my mouth. The issue did not show up on xray until four months later – by which time it was a much bigger problem affecting many more teeth than when I went to Dr Nikos.

The failure to treat the initial tooth has now affected further teeth and my jaw and overall health. It has been utterly disastrous and ruined my appearance, and my life.

The moral of this story is that xrays do not always show the problem in the first instance. In my case it took months but I needed to be listened to in the interim as the pain was extreme and a very obvious indication that something needed to be done. It was time sensitive and action needed to be taken fast.

I am now in pain 24/7 and my life has been ruined.

Google Bad Review 1:  I arrived 20 minutes early for a tooth whitening appointment.

I was made to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen.

In that time I witnessed the dentists assistant leave the surgery numerous times whilst wearing her gloves. On one of these occasions she even went into the toilet.

My treatment had to be cut short because I was now running late for a meeting.

I noticed very minimal difference to the colour of my teeth. I have had whitening done before and the difference was night and day.

The dentist seemed keen to sell me the home whitening system.

Useless service. Avoid like the plague.

Google Bad Review 1:  Smilecliniq is the last place you want to try in any situation! I was and still having a bit of an issue with tooth implant (feel it a bit loose)and booked an emergency appointment to have it looked at and hopefully to get it sorted! I was initially charge £30 and was told a further £35 would be added once I’ve been seen! When I got there, the dentist inform me that she is unable to do anything at this time and that another appointment would be needed so I can be seen by his colleague who I’ve been told deal with implants mainly. Obviously, I was not very happy as I detailed my issue with the implant when I filled in the form on line and not only that, I was told to cough up the additional £35 which was out of question! Anyway, tried to reason with them and I was booked for yet another appointment with the so called “specialist” and again, was going to cost me £65! Thought fair enough, as long as it’s sorted, I have no issue with paying again!
When I got there the second time, I was met by the dentist and quickly explain my concern and he said he was going to carry out a full mouth examination something which I was told during my first visit! But nothing like that happen, instead, he was rambling on about different kind of implants and how his clinic have superior quality and blah blah! Anyway, now the bombshell, told me because he was unsure about the type of implant I have, he can’t to anything but he’s going to take it off and have a look and that would cost me an extra £175!
Two wasted journey, total of £95 and still nothing and they want more money! Smile cliniq doesn’t care about patient welfare, only thing that matters is your money! I won’t even give them half star but needed to for the review! MY ADVICE TO ANYONE IN NEED OF DENTIST, THERES BIGGER,BETTER AND CHEAPER ALL OVER LONDON, STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO PART WITH YOUR HARD EARN DOSH!
