Google Bad Review:  Told I needed a crown for a simple filling which fell out. Decided to trust her word and get it done. When the temporary filling fell out, she was unavailable for a week, while I called every day, walking around with a hole in my mouth. Turns out she actually was in the practice, but was too keen to leave every day at 5pm to provide basic care to her customers.

Also told I needed a filling on another tooth for a superficial spot of decay. Saw another dentist about this who advised this is an out of date practice – superficial decay can recover and is best left to heal until it becomes a problem. Now I suspect the crown was also overkill to hand out a larger bill.

I was also advised to get a splint, which would cost £900 – the “Rolls Royce” of splints (how very professional…). Another dentist advised that this can be done for £450. Not the same “Rolls Royce” – but they at least provide a more affordable option.

Bottom line is this place is run as a business, not a health care facility. Private patients are subsidising care for students, but don't expect any better service for your hard earned money – you're just a number in their books, and they're going to try making that number as large as possible.

Google Bad Review:  I called today to make an appointment and the receiption has been unplesant on the call. they told me that they increased the price almost twofold just for a simple check-up.. they also told me that this is because of the pandemnic and because they now have 400 people on the waiting list. The call was very unpleasant. I have no symphasy for doctors who are taking advantage of patients because of the pandemnic. I note that in the response below the owner mentined £30 increase. Well the Smilepod only increased the same fee by £10 which seems fair as far as PPE is concerned – they charged £69 and now they charge £79. Your receptionist gave a very negative wibe and was standoffish: “our fees are on the website. we have 400 people on the waiting list” Who talks like this at the receiption?? You are going to scare your clients off. I have been coming to your clinic for 15 years but after talking to your receptionist (new?) I am going to seek treatment elsewhere – which I already did today actually.

Google Bad Review:  I have been a customer of this dentist for nearly 20 years recent changes (new owners) have brought about a terrible level of service and a focus on processing appointments rather than caring for customers (profits over efficiency). I booked an appointment to replace the one and only white filling I have because after decades it had dropped out of a molar, I rang to confirm the appointment was indeed to do the work as taking time off from work was an issue for me. I was advised yes but the final decision was with the dentist. I arrived 15 mins early today and was given a #NHS form to fill in (I understood the treatment was private for a white filling). I called in straight away. The dentist said they were not able to do it there and then and proceeded to argue with me for 10 mins (mainly them speaking) explaining I was told it was up to the dentist and they never do treatments on the spot and that she needed a longer appointment than 20mins to do xrays etc. This young short asian dentist was very opinionated and kept saying please see my point of view, (as if I had a choice lol), the point is the x-ray could have been done in the time she chose to justify why she could not do it, I was in early for my appointment too. To me this demonstrated poor experience and even worse customer service skills with perhaps undertones of a deliberate process of putting customers through a sales cycle to improve profit and fill out their diary (which must have been empty for me to be seen early!). I thought better of letting that dentist near my teeth and left complaining briefly at reception but to my surprise they offered no comment again showing a poor and inexperienced team. When I left I looked at my watch to see it was 11.45am the exact time I was due for my appointment to begin – I would not trust this dentist as their priority is not on helping their customers.

They had booked me in for a hygiene cleaning cleaning treatment on 5:30pm on a Friday, which meant me taking time off early from work so I could get there on time, I get there 10 mins late, and the hygenist is standing at reception and blankly rejecting me for being 10 mins late without a decency to understand or sympathise with the fact that a small delay should be expected for a lot of people who have to use the tube in London which are often affected by delays and other issues.

They then explained that they'd tried to call me before to confirm my attendance. Checking my phone I realised these calls were made half an hour before my appointment, which meant I'd be on the tube and unable to take calls. And amazingly, as I was explaining all this to the hygenist, he had the audacity to just walk away from me like a child.

If you value yourself as a human-being and would expect a shred of passion and care from the people whose jobs are to care for your health, then do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs, because you will not get any of that here.

My appointment was in the afternoon for assessing the problem with two old fillings. I passed by the clinic early morning to check why I never received the link to fill in the new patient form.
They ‘ve got a slot available there and then because someone cancelled, and I accepted to be seen in advance.
It has been the most rushed and unwelcoming visit I never had with a dentist – and I had many in my life.
After two x-rays the conclusion was that I had a problem of superficial sensitivity, and the plan suggested was for not removing the old filling to avoid weakening the tooth, but instead top it up. I agreed to proceed as the dentist wouldn’t consider any alternative and that was better than nothing.
The intervention was than in such a rush that the assistant was not able to cope with the pace, to the point that a syringe of fluid used to prepare the surface of the tooth wasn’t set properly and, in the manoeuvre, opened up all at once resulting in burning the skin of the mouth that now is peeling off. The poor girl assisting him was always in delay with using the oral evacuator straw, so I swallowed many time – no saliva ejector used.
The dentist insisted that one filling was good enough and the tooth next to that didn’t need any treatment. I didn’t agree and left in frustration with one single tooth now being the first and only point of contact between the upper and lower left side. Clearly, he run out of time and done what he could in rush, and was time for me to leave! On my way out, I realized that the surface of the tooth was very rough and ask to go back there and then for polishing. In the rush, he forgot even to polish a new filling!! Unbelievable. I waited for the patient after me to come out, and went in for completing the job. He asked me again if I was happy with how the bite closed, I said again NO, that wasn't right to close the bite only on one tooth. It wasn’t worth to talk about again since he already tried to persuade me that it was properly done while it wasn’t. I decided to write this review when I was back home, and after trying to pass the dental floss I realized that the filling closed the gap between two teeth and there is no way through for the floss. He just forgot to go through what is the ABC for a filling procedure: polishing and floss check!! I have not been vigilant enough as overwhelmed by the pressure and fast pace, and also because it is not a patient job -necessary!! Just unbelievably unprofessional. AVOID IT!
