Google Bad Review:  I had a terrible experience with Dav and would not recommend working with him.

I booked him for a gas safety certificate, boiler service, repair a small leak under the kitchen sink and test the carbon monoxide detecter.

Upon checking the boiler and leak under the sink, he identified that we needed new parts. We agreed on paying him more to buy the parts and come back and fit them on an agreed date. He told me that the extra parts needed would cost circa no more than £90 and that he would provide receipts for complete transparency.

However, he failed to complete the job on the agreed date. After chasing him, he told me it would take an extra 5 x days as the parts needed was not immediately available anywhere in north London.

When I stressed the urgency of the job, he miraculously told me he could complete the job that day but that the parts would now cost over 100% more (£185 instead of less than £90) + his fee. However, he wouldn't be able to provide receipts after all and didn't want to break down the cost of each part, despite previously agreeing to do this.

Smelling a rat, I challenged him on this. I told him that I searched online, and the parts were in fact, over 100% cheaper than he was now quoting me. He said I should buy the parts myself if it made me feel better.

Following his behaviour and attitude, it felt like he was trying to pull a fast one and rip me off, which resulted in me losing all confidence and trust in his ability to get the job done. I cancelled the remainder of the job (but out of decency, paid him for his time and parking to date).

His behaviour was very unprofessional throughout: he kept swearing and was very impatience. I was surprised to see that he also lacked basic common sense. For example, I had to handhold him and show him how to find a boiler manual online by simply searching for the name and model number and how to pay for on-street parking by dialling a number and entering a unique code.

I've ended up paying a lot of money for an incomplete job and have now had to book another (reputable) company to complete his work.
