Google Bad Review 1:  The service from Foxtons has been non-existent over the past 4 months. I gave notice on my flat in July and they have only just notified me there was an issue with that notification! And they are trying to charge me two months rent even though I gave notice 4 months ago! All they seem interested in is their commission. I’ll be taking the matter to the Ombudsman shortly.

Google Bad Review (2):  As landlords, we let our property through Foxtons – I was told they were the best on the market (from the lettings manager of course) and now I whole-heartedly regret contracting with them. While they found us some great tenants, their fee is one of the highest on the market. We were told it's high because they provide a ‘high' service however I can safely say their service is not high, in fact it's abysmal.

You pay through the nose for an always on 360 service, except they're not always on – barely there is more appropriate. They will let you know of any issues, but then expect you to pay a ridiculous amount to use their ‘in house' contractors. We had a small issue with our bath in which we were quoted £90 just for the call out. Instead we decided to find someone ourselves who found the issue to be minor, and charged £20. We pay around £140 a month for this service, and every single issue that has arisen, we have sorted ourselves for much cheaper and less faff. They also don't answer calls and emails which is infuriating when you have tenants and need to know what is going on.

On cancelling the dire services, we decided to deal with all issues ourselves which has worked out much better, however since this, they have decided to ignore all of our emails about upcoming rent and changing of payment details. We have emailed numerous times over the last 9 weeks and had radio silence which has pushed me to write this review.

If you're thinking about letting your property with Foxtons, don't.
