Google Bad Review 1:  AVOID!! When we bought our flat as first time buyers the estate agent gave us a dodgy set of keys when we completed. The set of keys then damaged the lock on our front door so we were unable to enter our property and were left locked out. The neighbours who came out to help us also spoke to the previous owners who confirmed the set of keys were dodgy. When we reached out to the estate agent for help as they gave us the keys they said it “wasn’t their problem” and “these things just happen”. They also tried to accuse us of using the wrong keys. They refused to help us and on top of that we didn’t receive any apology for the inconvenience they had caused us especially with delaying our move and leaving us stranded. As their job as an estate agent it should be their duty to check the keys are correct and working. To also add we were being chased daily before we had completed but once it came to completion they didn’t want to help. We are extremely disappointed in the service and the unprofessionalism. We would not recommend The Address estate agents.

Google Bad Review (2):  The most terrible experience in our life. Rented apartment through TheAddress that was advertised furnished, promised to be professionally cleaned and in good condition. On the day of moving in the flat was completely dirty, with lots of non-working bits, and unfurnished. After complaining to the agency, they rejected to solve any of the problems. And only after very long conversation started to deal with problems. During the first month they have not solved all of them. Even worse, we found a huge hole in the wall behind in-build kitchen furniture that is the source of mice in the flat. The agency still rejects to solve any issues and ask us to pay for every repair. Just a rip off, don't use their services.

Google Bad Review 1:  I had a viewing booked with this company and they cancelled the the booking 5 minutes before while I was waiting outside the property. When I called them up they were extremely rude and unprofessional. They cut the line on me and didn’t let me speak a word. The lady was extremely rude she was asking unnecessary and additional questions that weren’t even needed. She needs to get a new job, management should look into this.

Arranged a viewing, showed up 10 minutes before. Waited at the property 15 minutes, before giving the agent a call. Apparently she'd been very busy and thus running behind, but promised me she'd be there in 2 minutes. I wait another 15 minutes, and still not agent. Now I check the listing again and it says let has been agreed. There was obviously an offer and/or referencing checks going on as she agreed to show me the property, so common decency and customer service would have been to notify me of this – and AT LEAST let me know on the day that let was agreed so that I did not have to waste my time waiting 30 minutes for something that was no longer available. From what I can tell I am not sure she was even ever on her way.

Stay far, far away from this joke of an agency.

Google Bad Review (2):  Sad to write this but I know I would have appreciated reading this if I was considering using proctors for a sale.
Sold my house through them and pretty apparent from the start that they were only interested in supporting the buyer despite the fact I paid their (significant) fee. I was in a chain buying elsewhere and had lots of quite rude emails when other parts of the chain were not speeding along, and yet they introduced a buyer without a mortgage agreed in principle (despite their assurance that they did) which almost destroyed the deal and my chain.
Found myself doing much of the work to sell whilst they looked after the buyer only, agreeing on my behalf to some pretty outlandish (non required) additional work.
Managed to get this over the line whilst keeping the chain intact with little if any support from this estate agent.
Paid the fee wondering what on earth they did to deserve such huge amounts of £ and glad I’ll never have to deal with them again.
A sorry tale and don’t like leaving bad feedback – but hopefully this will help others who are selling.

Google Bad Review 1:  Awful experience selling our home, took 2 weeks and 3 phone calls to put our house on their website and rightmove, managed 2 viewings in a month and when we tried a few “secret shopper” drop ins from friends they never mentioned our property despite specifically being asked for the same type of house. We had found a property elsewhere and when the agent there rang them she was given the impression we weren't taking their advice and were unlikely to sell which lost us the house we liked. Totally incompetent. I rang to complain and wasn't even offered an apology.

Google Bad Review (2):  Poor knowledge of the market. They were not thorough enough with valuation and failed to discover that a flat was on the market at a much lower price. I had to bring this to their attention! Also they were slow and not proactive enough. I had to look at market and call them to reduce the price. After a wasted 10 weeks contract with them no sale and we are now approaching Xmas where it slows .I truly believe we could have sold in September had we gone with another agent. Don't bother to try and sell with winkworth.

We had booked 2 vans for 8 days rental, and despite booking 3 weeks in advance we arrived at the arranged time only to be told that they don’t have any vans available. They say they called to advise of this problem, but it turns out they called us 10 minutes before our booking was due to start.

They spent a while recommending other van hire companies that we could try, but seemed reluctant to phone their other branches to check stock. Could not seem less interested in our business if they tried.

I really cannot recommend anyone uses this branch, and will avoid at all costs in future.

Google Bad Review (2):  Fined me £35 for a supposed fine I received in their car. Upon calling up the company who fined me I was told in fact there is no fine but supposedly that's the end of that and there's no recourse. Thanks.
