Google Bad Review 1:  Unpleasant experience with this club. There is no proper progress reporting and literally you feel money is thrown in the air. Children are put in groups according to age and not according to their ability or potential. There is no proper evaluation process in place to allow children to advance during the year – you only move up each September because of age. The management culture is awful, self-defensive and not oriented towards finding the best sution for students and help with disputes. Really, if you want your child to progress – do not waste time in this program.

Google Bad Review (2):  First impressions very nice gym in a quiet location of West Wickham. Modern equipment and a fairly spacious layout. Booked induction with one of the trainers which was an absolute waste of time. Took my £20.00 just for showing me a few machines for 5 mins. This gym caters for all ages from young to the old but be warned if you a person of colour they are not so welcoming especially if you are a female. You will stand out as a minority and will get lots of curious and very rude prolonged stares while you try to work out. White males dominate this gym on the whole which can be at times uncomfortable.

Google Bad Review (2):  Very poor staff and service – good facilities if you could use them. Went there on a Friday morning and told we had to wait nearly 40 minutes to use the pool. – the water slide was not going to open until 4pm! When we got to the pool the first life guard said that they were waiting for more people to come in before we could use the diving area. The second life guard just shrugged her shoulders and said it would not be opening today.
While we were waiting for the pool to open we sat in the cafe while 3 of them sat at the deep end of the pool just waiting so there was not a shortage of staff just enthusiasm.
I was going to complain on the way out – we did not stay long as there was no point if you couldn't use the facilities – but there was nobody at the desk on leaving.

It was a real shame as the facilities looked good but the staff clearly could not be bothered and the information was appalling. I won't bother to go back.

Dear Crook Log Centre Management,

Myself and my wife have been swim23 members for the last 9 months and we regularly take our child to your pool for family swims.

Sadly on nearly every occasion, the swimming pool changing areas have been absolutely disgusting. Filthy beyond anything I have ever seen with mud and dirt smeared along the floor from people not removing shoes, staff walking through without removing their shoes or wearing shoe covers and the general condition of the locker rooms are filthy with litter and grime everywhere. There also seems to be a nice little bar-fly collection coming up through the drains. Oh yes and the women's and men's pool toilets are beyond unsuitable for human use, I have seen better on my travels in India and Colombia. They smell if urine, are coated in faeces and usually out of order.

I have never seen any form of manager on the floor managing the centre or getting staff to clean the floors, which should be cleaned every half hour-1 hour. In fact on the 9 months I've seen the floors cleaned twice (and I visit twice a week).

Generally speaking the layout of the changing room is at odds with the amount of swimmers. There are far too many tiny single occupancy changing rooms, which are even too small for one person, let alone if you bring a child and the 5 family changing rooms are taken.

The cafe never has anyone serving, At one point myself and 3 other people waited approximately 10 minutes, all I wanted was a water. We kept trying to get the staff members attention in the back, but she was far to busy making sandwiches that no one was going to buy. In the end I didn't even leave my pound coin, I felt my money would be better spent elsewhere. On another occasion my wife was refused service because the worker was cashing up early, even though my wife had the exact money for her water.

The staff on the front desk are not very happy to see customers, talk amongst themselves constantly, don't engage with us and generally we feel like we are unwanted.

On the last occasion I went swimming the life guard chatted with another off duty life guard in the slow lane of the swimming pool for about half hour, the off duty life guard just blocked the lane whilst they chatted about who they hate – Off Duty Lifeguard – “oooh I hate that bloke, hate him” Lifeguard “yeah can't stand him”

Come on guys – get out the lane, about 10 people are clambering past – the level of ignorance is staggering, they could have gone into the main part of the pool to continue their gossip courtship.

The swimming pool has plasters floating around and hair bands and sand on the bottom of the floor, but on the plus side it does have water.

Due to all of this I will be cancelling my membership at the appropriate time, I feel its a cheek that I have to pay 2 months to cancel a membership to what I would say is an atrociously run centre.

It desperately needs an overhaul in management and an upgrade in facilities.

Dear Crook Log Centre Management,

Myself and my wife have been swim23 members for the last 9 months and we regularly take our child to your pool for family swims.

Sadly on nearly every occasion, the swimming pool changing areas have been absolutely disgusting. Filthy beyond anything I have ever seen with mud and dirt smeared along the floor from people not removing shoes, staff walking through without removing their shoes or wearing shoe covers and the general condition of the locker rooms are filthy with litter and grime everywhere. There also seems to be a nice little bar-fly collection coming up through the drains. Oh yes and the women's and men's pool toilets are beyond unsuitable for human use, I have seen better on my travels in India and Colombia. They smell if urine, are coated in faeces and usually out of order.

I have never seen any form of manager on the floor managing the centre or getting staff to clean the floors, which should be cleaned every half hour-1 hour. In fact on the 9 months I've seen the floors cleaned twice (and I visit twice a week).

Generally speaking the layout of the changing room is at odds with the amount of swimmers. There are far too many tiny single occupancy changing rooms, which are even too small for one person, let alone if you bring a child and the 5 family changing rooms are taken.

The cafe never has anyone serving, At one point myself and 3 other people waited approximately 10 minutes, all I wanted was a water. We kept trying to get the staff members attention in the back, but she was far to busy making sandwiches that no one was going to buy. In the end I didn't even leave my pound coin, I felt my money would be better spent elsewhere. On another occasion my wife was refused service because the worker was cashing up early, even though my wife had the exact money for her water.

The staff on the front desk are not very happy to see customers, talk amongst themselves constantly, don't engage with us and generally we feel like we are unwanted.

On the last occasion I went swimming the life guard chatted with another off duty life guard in the slow lane of the swimming pool for about half hour, the off duty life guard just blocked the lane whilst they chatted about who they hate – Off Duty Lifeguard – “oooh I hate that bloke, hate him” Lifeguard “yeah can't stand him”

Come on guys – get out the lane, about 10 people are clambering past – the level of ignorance is staggering, they could have gone into the main part of the pool to continue their gossip courtship.

The swimming pool has plasters floating around and hair bands and sand on the bottom of the floor, but on the plus side it does have water.

Due to all of this I will be cancelling my membership at the appropriate time, I feel its a cheek that I have to pay 2 months to cancel a membership to what I would say is an atrociously run centre.

It desperately needs an overhaul in management and an upgrade in facilities.

Google Bad Review (2):  We went for the swimming pool and we were very disappointed. The pool was utterly disgusting and it had clearly not been cleaned before hand. There were also dead flies in there. There was no AC in the pool so it was extremely hot and the pool itself was reletively small.
On the other hand, the changing rooms were very dirty, the lockers didn't close properly so someone could have easily stolen our belongings. The showers were rusty and the floor was atrocious. Let alone the very expensive membership prices. If you are looking for a gym local it's not bad but for anything else it's not worth it. We spoke to the manager and luckily he had given us compensation to swim at a local pool.
