Google Bad Review 1: DEFINITELY DO NOT USE FOR CONTRACTOR MORTGAGES
Completely irresponsible and inappropriate mortgage advice. We were advised on a mortgage product that Capricorn knew we were not eligible for yet proceeded with without informing us of the risks. After 6 weeks of lying to both us and the estate agent our accepted offer was rescinded and we lost our house. I had left messages and emailed the Chief Executive Conor Murphy with my concerns and received no response or acknowledgement. The advisor we were working with (Luke Northcott) knew we were eligible for another product yet didn't advise us on changing. We got this offer approved through another broker but by then it was too late and we lost our house.

Google Bad Review (2): Unfortunately unlike most of the people on here, my experience with Capricorn was very poor. Not sure if this was due to the company or the individual I was dealing with. I had heard good reviews about the company and was referred to them by a friend in the industry.
My case for a re-mortgage was a bit more complicated however I had explained this from my first conversation with them which was at the beginning of December. Initially I was told it would be possible and was given lending options, however since then I was getting almost no communication, had to constantly chase through emails, texts and voicemails and was effectively lied to at the beginning of Jan by being told I had an AIP (and that confirmation would be forwarded). This was once again followed by almost 3 weeks of silence despite me sending all relevant backup documents to then be told (after constant chasing again) the lender could no longer provide what had allegedly been agreed.
So effectively they wasted almost 2 months of my time by lying to me , giving me erratic and unclear responses and almost outright ignoring me. I find this extremely frustrating as well as unprofessional. At the start we agreed a timeline of roughly two months, therefore I served notice to the tenants in order to get the property ready for renovations. Safe to say I will now be out of pocket after this massive inconvenience. One of the worst customer services I have experienced. I can't speak for any other people however if you are planning on using this company I would recommend not going through Jordan Smith.
